From October 29 to 31, 2021, the 10th AArt Shanghai City Art Fair will be held at HUALUXE Hotel, 12 Hengshan Road, Shanghai. As the first international-oriented hotel-type art fair in China, AArt takes the name of the city and takes "art and life dialogue" as its purpose, and is the most representative expo brand in the domestic mass art consumer goods category.
AArt has always believed that art does not have to be too expensive; making art part of the "home" is one of AArt's original intentions. After ten years of polishing, in 2021, AArt will continue to deepen the exhibition theme of "Shanghai Exquisite New Aesthetics", with the elegance of Haipai and the charm of Haina, handing together with more than 30 high-quality galleries and brands and art/design institutions from Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, to present a golden autumn art journey that includes classical and contemporary paintings, sculptures, photography, collectible jewelry and utensils, trend art, art derivatives, design masterpieces and other diversified categories.
In 2021, AArt will, as always, focus on three major exhibition sections, namely the main exhibition area for galleries and other art institutions, the "Art Gallery Gathering", the "Urban Innovation Show" that supports young art creators, and the "Art Gift" for art derivatives and design brands, with a diversified and integrated open attitude and multi-dimensional hotel art fair with the most Haipai literary and artistic life atmosphere.

Thousands of diverse art collections meet in Shanghai in the autumn
The main exhibition area of AArt 2021 brings together nearly 30 galleries and art institutions from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Beijing, Taipei and other countries at home and abroad to provide high-quality art consumption experience for the audience. Among them, Nancy Gallery (Shanghai), Polar Bear Gallery (Shanghai/Beijing), Shang art museum (Nanjing), ACAE (Melbourne), LUEUR Luxuan Jewelry (New York/Shanghai), Arboretum Printmaking Art Space (Shanghai), Times Space (Beijing/Xiamen), Jinser Gallery (Chongqing), and Dejia Art Space (Shanghai) will return again, bringing a variety of art collections that stimulate curiosity and in-depth exchanges to the audience.
Galleries exhibiting at AArt for the first time this year include: Gogoodgoods & Motai Art Space from Beijing, Dahu United Art Center in Shanghai, Pinlin Culture, Mingjing Art Space, USHOWART, GreenLove Gallery, Hangzhou's Starting Point Gallery, and other art founded in Dalian, art-L Gallery, which was founded in Seoul, South Korea, and the current gallery space in Shanghai and Suzhou, and Gallery from Busan HANA。
Affected by the current travel restrictions, AArt's past partners, including Taipei's Heritage Art Center and Yijing Gallery, will return to the new exhibition model. AArt will appoint local representatives as on-site staff for galleries that are unable to attend in person, and combine online platforms to provide galleries with more flexible and diverse forms of art exchange. In addition, OVOART (Taipei), ARTemis (Malaysia), Tusi Art TOSee ART (Taipei), V&E ART (Paris/Taipei), Feihuang Art (Taipei), Donna Art (Taipei), Yixing Art (Taipei) will also present a series of selected works in the AArt "Gallery Gathering" section in the form of joint curatorial exhibitions.

Ten years of heritage, continue to explore the vision of artistic life
AArt has been held for nine consecutive years and is about to celebrate the top ten this year. AArt adheres to the hotel-type exhibition mode, with the guest room as the display unit, placing art in a more life-like scene and creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for communication. This year, AArt not only joins hands to highlight the vitality of shanghai's visual art, but also focuses on bringing together the most influential institutions and brands in China focusing on art consumption, actively promoting the integration of visual arts, fashion and design, technology and traditional handicrafts, etc., aiming to enable more families to have original artworks and design products suitable for home decoration and heritage attributes, while helping Shanghai build a vibrant cultural consumption scene in the global design capital.
The 10th AArt includes more than 20 active contemporary art and classical art galleries at home and abroad, each gallery with the theme of "Shanghai Exquisite New Life", with its unique artistic perspective to choose to exhibit works and display methods, each exhibition area has different styles and characteristics. While presenting the gallery exhibition, AArt also continues to introduce diversified creative energy from designers, cultural and creative brands, art design institutions, etc., among which the popular light art life brand "Qian Xiang Ying", the experimental glass art design brand "Let's talk glass/Glass Heart Glass", the designer jewelry brand "CJ Design" will present many art design products close to life to the audience. Whether you're a veteran art collector or a novice collector looking for your first art collection, this AArt will be the perfect place to learn about art, improve your taste, and purchase art collections for your family.
In addition, a series of special exhibition projects, handicraft workshops and coffee and flower art experience spaces rooted in local culture are also set up on site. In the Hualuxe Hotel at No. 12 Hengshan Road, designed by the internationally renowned architect Mr. Mario Bota, there is no serious academic atmosphere, every grass and tree, everything is art, in the Hengshan Road neighborhood, where The Shanghai culture gathers, the historical mansion blends with the modern city, and find a piece of tranquility in the bustling, and enjoy the artistic feelings in the hustle and bustle. Continue to pay attention to the development trend of young people in the art industry, and actively promote the innovation of the operation mode of art fairs
The exhibition section "Urban Innovation Show", which has been created since 2019, will enter the third edition this year. Committed to discovering outstanding young creators with clear clues and in-depth thinking in their creations, the "Urban Innovation Show" adopts the method of open solicitation this year, and the winners can be invited to participate in the 2021 AArt Shanghai City Art Fair, and obtain unique exhibition experience and support and guidance from experts and scholars in the industry.
Since the launch of the project in July, AArt's "Urban Innovation Show" has attracted a large number of young artists with unique visual styles. After the selection and planning of the AArt Organizing Committee, the 2021 AArt "Urban Innovation Show" section will present 13 young creators with independent artistic thinking and open artistic vision, and exhibit hundreds of works of art in various media and categories including oil painting, acrylic, ink, printmaking, ceramics, illustration, sculpture and so on. Nearly half of the participating artists are newly graduated young rookies, although the market qualifications are still shallow, but the creative appearance has already shown a clear individual appearance, with great potential.
At the same time, the 2021 "Urban Innovation Show" will continue to combine the AArt public welfare project "Art Manager Training Program" to build a complete learning and exchange platform for the intermediary system of the art industry. The AArt Organizing Committee invited several industry experts to teach the theoretical and practical knowledge of the art market to the selected art managers of the project, who will serve the young artists selected for the exhibition and be responsible for the installation, sales, and withdrawal of the exhibition at the exhibition site.
