Yan Zhenqing is famous for his calligraphy, but his cursive writing can also be called exquisite, Chen Si's "Small History of Books" Yun: "(Yan Zhenqing) is good and righteous, writing books, and writing thickly. "Mi Fu also said that "Yan Lu Gongxing can be taught", which shows the admiration and appreciation of the calligrapher for Yan Zhenqing's cursive writing.
Among them, the "Sacrifice nephew manuscript" can best represent Yan Zhenqing's achievements in cursive calligraphy, and is known as the "second line of the world". In the "Manuscript of the Sacrifice of the Nephew", Yan Zhenqing combines the appeal of expressing emotion with the freedom of the cursive script itself, so that this work presents a rich visual space effect and a variety of formal beauty, which has become the goal that posterity vigorously pursues and imitates.

French visual aesthetician De Lucio Meyer believes that "two lines placed in opposite positions can produce a visual dialogue or a visual communication, it is like two people talking to each other." ”
The interstitial knot of Chinese characters can be likened to a visual abstract form of interlaced dialogue between two or more groups of people. The experience of visual perception has told us that in flat space, the closer the distance between the line pointill drawings (not zero), the stronger the gravitational relationship between each other, and there is a tension effect between each other, and when the pointillists are close, the greater the tension;
When the dot paintings are in a proper position, there is a force that is inseparable; when the distance between the dot paintings continues to increase, the tension gradually weakens until it disappears, and with the disappearance of the tension between the dot paintings, the relationship between the dot paintings is no longer clear.
Examining the knotted characteristics of the Manuscript of the Sacrifice nephew, the author roughly summarizes three different situations:
The first is the characteristics of the longitudinal knot body that is tall and straight.
Due to the longitudinal extension of the dot drawing lines, the left and right sides of the font are closer together, and the upper and lower gravitational forces are weak, so the glyphs show a tall and straight feeling, as shown in Figure 5.

The second is the characteristics of a wide flat body that extends horizontally.
Due to the difference between stroke order and stroke, the knot body of the word also has a different posture, in addition to the tall and straight knot characteristics, there is also a wide and flat interstitial structure, as shown in the six character examples.

The third is to show the characteristics of the knot body that is oblique and unstable.
There are not many words in the "Manuscript of the Sacrifice of nephews", but they can better express the beauty of "neutralization" in the middle. The glyph is slightly oblique, but the dot line still maintains a certain attraction, when the distance between the left and right of the word or the distance up and down is from near to far or from far to near, the gravitational force or tension between each other is from strong to weak or from weak to strong, see the three character examples in Figure.

Throughout the "Manuscript of the Sacrifice of the Nephew", the spatial change effect of the left and right, up and down, and oblique on the knot body can be said to be one after another, and it is even more beautiful to blossom in many places. (To be continued)
