On January 1, 2014, DSP Media announced the launch of Rainbow's second subgroup, Rainbow Blaxx. Captain Shujing once said that the "BLAXX" of the team name refers to the combination of the seven colors of the rainbow and it will become black, hence the name.
From January 6 to 9, 2014, the preview of members Jin Zhijing, Zhao Xianrong, Gao Youli and Wu Chengya was announced.
On January 16, 2014, he released an audition of the album Rainbow Blaxx Special Album (RB BLAXX) at Naver.
On January 17, 2014, the MV trailer for the title song "Cha Cha" was released.
On January 20, 2014, a Showcase was held at olleh Square Dream Hall in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, which was broadcast live via Ustream. Rainbow Blaxx is preparing to perform the new song "Cha Cha" for the first time, as well as various conversations, and unveiled the MV of the title song "Cha Cha".
On January 29, 2014, the new song "Cha Cha" was released to commemorate Show Case at Olleh Square in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
On February 16, "Cha Cha" won the second place (the first place in the SBS popular song) and ended the promotional period. This ranking is the highest record for rainbow in the show since it entered the industry.
