In the previous national derby in La Liga, Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1.

Real Madrid midfielder Modric celebrated his 400th game for the club and received a shirt with 400 games printed on it from club president Florentino. In an interview, Modric said it made him very proud.

'It's incredible, it's a very proud thing to play 400 games for Real Madrid, I feel very happy and very proud and hopefully I can continue to play more games and see how many games I can play in the end.' Modric, who was interviewed, said so.

What "crazy" things did this football lover do when he was a teenager, and what anecdotes happened?

Football accompanies little Luca through the teenager

Luka Modric was born in 1985 in a Croatian village called "Modric" to parents who worked in a nearby woolen factory. As the eldest son in the family, Modric's most common thing to do after birth was to herd sheep. In the heart of Mount Velebit, camera footage captured a precious image of Modric, when the 5-year-old Luca jr., dressed in a distinctly larger coat, herded sheep on the mountain road of Mount Velebit.

In 1991, at the age of 6, Modric underwent a major turning point in his life, the outbreak of the Yugoslav Civil War. The war quickly turned into racial vendetta and eventually swept through the peaceful town. In order to escape the disaster, Modric's parents took him out of the town of Modric and fled to the coastal city of Zadar, 40 kilometers away, where the Modric family stayed in a refugee hotel, which was 7 years.

"When war broke out, we were refugees, and it was a very difficult time. Even though I was only 6 years old at the time, I can still clearly remember everything at that time, although it is not a memory I want to remember. At that time, my family's financial conditions were not very good, we stayed in refugee hotels for many years, but I have always loved football and hope to change the fate of my family through football. The grind of war made me stronger. This is Modric's own description of his childhood memories.

Indeed, it was football that changed Modric's fate. At that time, the city of Zadar was also under siege due to the chaos of the war, and the threat of death and destruction often approached the door of the hotel where Modric lived, and the artillery could fall from the sky at any time, causing great damage. When the anti-aircraft sirens sounded, Modric and his companions had to hide under the table.

Still, Modric and his family remain adamantly convinced that their children should not be deprived of the joys of childhood. At this time, football naturally became Modric's best "friend".

Skinny teenagers have broken countless windows when practicing

Since then, Modric's love of football and his excellent skills have been constantly taking root, and football has become a sustenance for his life. Modric's skills in the parking lot aroused the interest of a worker in the hotel. He admired Modric's technique so much that he dialed the phone to joseph Bargello, the head of the local club. Bargello responded to the workers' enthusiasm and got into the car bound for the hotel, where he was to see the mysterious teenager. Of course, Modric's performance did not disappoint Bargello, who offered Luca a chance to enter primary school and sports academy. Modric thus began his football journey.

In Zadar, Modric's family stayed in the hotel for several years, and despite the occasional bomb falling, Modric practiced football skills during those years. "He played football almost all day, and he kicked more windows than bombs blew." A hotel receptionist recalled.

Zadar club manager at the time, Tomislav Besic, recalled: "I heard about a very nimble little boy who kept playing and sleeping with his arms around the football. He would kick the ball around the entire hotel parking lot. For a 7-year-old, he is too thin and too weak, but his talent is there, and no one will miss it. ”

At the age of 10, Modric went to Croatian giants Hayduk for a trial, but the club felt that he was too poor to play professional football, so he had to play home.

In any team, Modric is always the thinnest player, the boy-in-one jersey of the same age is like an oversized shirt on him, and the body is always at a disadvantage against him. But Modric did not give up, practicing his skills every day, rain or shine, never interrupting a day. His coach, however, has taken a fancy to his delicate technical skills and outstanding overall view, and his strengths will be maximized in the game. When playing against taller and stronger teams, Modric is placed in the midfield to ensure that the team can get the ball. His low center of gravity has made him more agile than tall players, and these advantages have not changed much in his style of play. A few years later, it was discovered that Modric, who was once thin, was still thin, but his skills were in full swing.

Still thin but cocooned into a butterfly

At the age of 15, Modric joined Dinamo Zagreb and began his professional football career. He helped the team win three consecutive Croatian league titles and was twice voted Croatian Footballer of the Year. He then landed in the Premier League and joined Tottenham hotterres and became the core of the team's midfield. With four seasons of outstanding performances, he won the favor of La Liga giants Real Madrid and eventually joined the Galaxy for 35 million. The next thing we all know is the real beginning of a legend – the Champions League triple, la Liga title, World Cup runner-up, Ballon d'Or, World Footballer of the Year...

"I'm happy and grateful for all the things that happened during this period and we'll fight for more." If young people can set a goal for themselves and work towards achieving it, let them do it. In an interview, Modric said.

"They have to fight, believe in themselves, work hard every day so that you can get what you want, and if you really work hard for it, I believe everything can be achieved through your dedication, hard work and passion."

Studies have shown that when a child is past the age of 6, the necessary adaptability of the brain will disappear. This disappearance is part of a broader phenomenon in which the brains and bodies of young people are more adaptable than adults, so some abilities can only be cultivated before the age of 6, 12 or 18, or are easier to develop before these ages. Nevertheless, throughout our adult lives, the body and brain retain great adaptability, which makes it possible for adults and even the elderly to develop new abilities through proper training.

Modric from the age of 6, no matter how bad the external environment, to football as a sustenance for life, never gave up, every day hard to practice the foot skills, rain or shine, never a day interrupted.

Re-sharing the teenage story of Luca the Magic Flute, these great players may not be genetically stronger than others, but they also influence individual achievements in many other ways, especially those that affect how likely someone is to practice diligently and correctly. But the clear signal from decades of research is that, whatever role genetics may play in the achievements of "geniuses," these people have the same important talents as each of us. That is, they are just as adaptable as we are, and they just use that ability more than we do. As long as you are willing to work hard, anything is possible. Like a marathon, it's often not clear who's better at the beginning. When athletes rush to the finish line, almost no one remembers how fast they started.

The same is true of life, the fight is not the starting point, but the endurance of perseverance and the speed of growth.
