The first half of the film has not let people see the main plot, but spent a lot of time to show Gongzhu's daily life.

If Gongzhu is the protagonist to show her growth, it is indeed possible to explain the trivial fragments related to her that appear in the film, but there is still no way to explain the teacher's emotional line.
In fact, the director's ambition is very large, and some details are described in the film, such as the relationship between Gongzhu and Sueshun's daughter, but he does not explain these details.
