Beijing, October 31 (China News Network) -- The China Education Development Strategy Society established a professional committee on art education (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Committee") in Beijing on the 31st. This is the aesthetic education research and exchange platform built by the society to promote artistic quality education for researchers, teachers and administrators of cultural and artistic education in colleges, universities, primary and secondary schools and other educational institutions across the country.
Han Min, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Education Development Strategy Society, supervised the voting and election process on behalf of the Council of the Society and confirmed the establishment of the first council of the Special Committee. Sun Xiaobing, executive director of the China Education Development Strategy Society, hopes that the special committee will provide support and contributions to improving the cultural and artistic literacy of students in colleges, middle schools, and primary schools.
Gao Hong, secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, was elected as the first chairman of the special committee. The Special Committee mainly carries out strategic, overall and comprehensive research and academic exchange activities in art education; develops art quality education curriculum, teaching materials and evaluation systems for all students; summarizes and promotes innovative achievements and successful experiences in art education; provides consulting services for art education at all levels and schools; and provides services related to art education capacity building for teachers in primary and secondary schools.

Subsequently, the newly established Special Committee held the first Forum on the Development of Chinese Aesthetic Education Spirit and Art Education Strategy in the New Era. Nearly 300 representatives of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, experts, scholars and related institutions from 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government participated in the forum through online and offline means.
Zhou Xing, director of the Art Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University, proposed that it is necessary to advocate a new aesthetic education concept of national aesthetic education. "At the same time, our concept of aesthetic education is also developed as follows: not only an aesthetic knowledge transmission education in the traditional sense, but a kind of spiritual, emotional and moral quality education for comprehensive education, to achieve the lifelong needs of people, to nourish and enhance people's spiritual feelings, and to achieve the aesthetic spirit of moral education."
Wang Yuechuan, director of the Institute of Calligraphy and Art of Peking University, said that campus aesthetic education, family aesthetic education and social aesthetic education will be raised nationwide with the basic knowledge of aesthetic education, appreciation and experience beauty and special skill cultivation as the main content. In the face of the practical problems of beauty education, such as ugly beauty, shortage of teachers, and insufficient attention from society and schools, schools and parents should take the initiative to follow up, and can start through calligraphy learning, so that the aesthetic education of traditional Chinese studies can be passed on from generation to generation.
Cai Jinsong, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, said that people's spiritual aesthetic pursuit and yearning for a better life have become increasingly prominent social demands, and art education is an important way to achieve this demand. We should vigorously carry forward the spirit of Chinese aesthetic education and explore the new connotation of art and art education; we should continue to explore and improve the development path, build a new system of art education and dissemination; and strive to shape a beautiful soul and expand the new realm of art education.
