A Southern Song Dynasty royal street in Hangzhou, strung with many famous alleys. Ancestral Hall Lane is one of them. Ancestral Hall Lane is basically parallel to Royal Street, and the alley entrance is on Gaoyin Street. The alley itself is relatively hidden, but because there is a former residence of Yu Qian, it is not small.
Yu Qian (1398-1457), a native of Hangzhou, was a famous Qing official and national hero of the Ming Dynasty. The former residence is located at No. 42 Ancestral Hall Lane. In the past, there was a Lingzhong Ancestral Hall commemorating Yu Qian in the alley, hence the name.
Shi Zai, in 1499, the invasion of The Watt, The Emperor Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen was arrested, known in history as the "Change of Tumu Fort", and the Ming Dynasty was in danger. Yu Qian was ordered to serve as a soldier Shangshu, successfully organized the defense of Beijing, repelled the wattles, and avoided the bad luck of the Ming Dynasty like the Song Dynasty when the Beijing Division fell and thousands of Li people were destroyed. Yuan Meishiyun, a great poet of the Qing Dynasty: Lai Youyue Yu Shuang Shaobao, the world began to feel the West Lake. This means that it is precisely because yue fei and Yu Qian, two great heroes, are buried by the West Lake that the West Lake has won such a reputation.
There are also descendants who will call "Yue Fei, Yu Qian, zhang Cangshui", three national heroes who have an indissoluble relationship in Hangzhou, as the "Three Masters of the West Lake". The three national heroes are buried on the shore of Xizi Lake, can the historical and cultural accumulation of the West Lake not be deep?
