A woman bought a diamond ring at the flea market, which was identified as worth £2 million

A British woman bought a diamond ring at a flea market, and she always thought it was worthless and wanted to throw it away. Unexpectedly, the ring was identified as worth 2 million pounds!

A woman in her 70s, who bought a diamond ring years ago, "almost threw it in the trash" while cleaning her room. Her neighbors advised her to take it for an appraisal first.

The woman, passing by the North Shields Fittonby Auction House, took out her ring and asked the house to estimate it.

Mark Lane of the auction house told reporters that the lady said "she just wanted to bring the ring with her when she was passing by" and asked the experts to take a look.

Ryan went on to say, "This ring and her wedding ring, along with some cheap faux jewelry, are in a box.

"I saw that the diamond was bigger than a pound coin and I thought it was CZ (a man-made diamond).

"It was on my desk for two or three days before I tested it with a diamond testing machine. We then sent it to a partner in London, where experts in Antwerp, Belgium, identified it as having 34 carats. ”

Lane said it was the biggest diamond he'd seen in the 5 years he'd run the jewelry store.

He said the woman did not want to be named. She told Lane that she enjoyed going to the flea market to buy things, but never imagined it was a real diamond.

"She told us she was at home cleaning up the clutter and the diamond was almost thrown in the trash," he said. Her neighbor suggested she take the diamond for valuation. ”

"Color, clarity, size... It would be outrageous to find such a 34 ct diamond. ”

The diamond is currently being stored in a safe location in London's Hatton Gardens and will be auctioned on November 30.
