A legend on the tip of a tongue for four hundred years
A journey of constant updating
A long-established brand
Gives us a mellow taste
Memories from year to year
"Shaped like a flower, it resembles a brocade, and the mouth is full of life at the entrance." During the banquet, he looked at the color of joy and did not ask questions since then. This product should only be in heaven, and it is rare to smell it on earth. In ordinary life, he is not good at praising the taste, and everywhere he goes, he will say the king. This poem praises the Tangshan specialty that has been passed down for more than 400 years - honey and candy.

Tangshan hemp sugar has a history of more than 400 years, originated from the Ming Dynasty Wanli period, native to Cao Xueqin's hometown - Jidong Tangshan rich old stump.
It is impossible to verify when the "Guangsheng" was opened by the Zhang family, but the earliest record found in the old accounts is that in the fourth year of the Ming Dynasty Wanli Calendar, the Ancestors of the Zhang Family lived in Zhongshen Prefecture (now Shen County, Hengshui City) in Hebei Province, and then moved to Qishuzhuang in Fengrun County, Tangshan to settle down due to the disaster, and continued the production and distribution of "Guangsheng" hemp candy. Although Tangshan Hemp Sugar has developed many branches of the brand now, the most authentic is "Guangsheng". After generations of inheritance, the "Guangsheng" long-established hemp sugar brand has been carried forward. The current heir is Mr. Zhang Guorong of Qishuzhuang, Fengrun District, Tangshan City.

Hemp sugar evolved from the row forks in the eastern Jidong region. At that time, people liked to use sugar and noodles and sesame fried forks as festive food during the New Year's Festival. About a hundred years ago, the pastry shop "Guangsheng" put this kind of dim sum loved by the people into the market. At that time, there were two kinds of forks on the market: one was fried with sugar and noodles, and then fried with sesame seeds; the other was first fried in oil and then poured with honey juice. Both forks have their own advantages and disadvantages, the fried fork is hard and crispy, and the honey sauce fork is soft and skinny. "Guangsheng" in the business process of the integration of two kinds of forks in the practice, carefully developed, and absorbed the Beijing pastry "honey supply" pouring method, to produce today's flavor of the famous food - honey hemp candy.
In July 2009, the "Guangsheng" honey hemp sugar was officially included as a provincial intangible cultural heritage. In June 2012, "Guangsheng" honey hemp sugar was awarded the title of "Famous Local Specialty of Hebei Province". From 2013 to 2018, "Guangsheng" honey hemp sugar has been exclusively interviewed by CCTV three times and broadcast in prime time. In October 2016, it was awarded the "Most Beloved Tangshan Daimyo" by the Tangshan Municipal Government. In August 2019, the "Guangsheng" honey hemp sugar was listed as a list of yanzhao old brands.
