From joining the "Nanjing Metropolitan Circle" to becoming a member city of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Coordination Council and a member of the Yangtze River Delta City Cluster, Ma'anshan, which has opened the "East Gate", has always competed for the "road of integration" with the attitude of "taking the lead".
In May 2019, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was officially elevated to a national strategy. In August of that year, the city issued the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the "Bridgehead" as a "Pioneer" to Accelerate the Development of the Yangtze River Delta", drawing a beautiful blueprint for "six integrations".

In 2020, an annual work plan for promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was issued. In Hexian County, the Ninghe Bus Interchange Center was put into use, realizing the "inter-provincial door-to-door" visits in Hexian and Nanjing, and the "1+1+5" transportation project of fully docking Nanjing Pukou is being promoted in an orderly manner.
While removing traffic obstacles, people's livelihood services such as education and medical care are also accelerating integration.
