ICBC (01398) announced that the 2015 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on 24 June 2016 elected Shen Si as an independent non-executive director of the bank.

Recently, the bank received the "Reply of the China Banking Regulatory Commission on the Qualifications of Shen Si of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China".

According to the relevant regulations, the China Banking Regulatory Commission has approved Shen Si's qualifications to serve as an independent non-executive director of the bank. Shen Si's appointment as an independent non-executive Director of the Bank has come into effect. The bank welcomed Shen Si to the bank's board of directors.
