Do you know how many of the ten hounds that the Qianlong Emperor kept in the palace were? Let's take a look!
According to the literature, at that time, the imperial court made the need for the emperor to carry out hunting paddocks, and the court specially set up an "eagle dog place".
The "Continuation of the Pavilion" says: "The Eagle Dog Place, to the East China Gate inside Chang'an Avenue, set up the president two, appoint the bodyguard concurrently, I feed the former eagle dog for more purposes in the search, his shepherds are all the children of the family, allowing his python robe weft hat, the highest quality among the deacons."
It was not a top priority to use it now, and the order was to move to dongguangnei longhouse. ”
From this record, it can be known that most of the hounds painted by Ai Qimeng are hounds fed by "eagle dogs", which can be said to be the emperor's pets.
