On October 12, the county's 2021 retired cadres political briefing and the "Nine·9" Respect for the Elderly Day symposium were held in the county veteran cadres activity center.
At the meeting, Lei Bo, secretary of the county party committee, extended festive greetings to the veteran cadres, and paid tribute to them for continuing to contribute to Yao'an's stability, reform, and development in different ways, and their outstanding exemplary and leading role in inheriting red genes, leading healthy social culture, carrying forward positive social energy, and caring for and educating the next generation.
Lei Bo pointed out that doing a good job in the work of retired cadres is the unshirkable political responsibility of the county party committee and the county government. The county party committee and the county government should establish and improve the system of regular reporting, and important issues, major matters, and major policy decisions should fully solicit the opinions and suggestions of veteran cadres, and carefully grasp the implementation and timely feedback on the handling situation. It is necessary to conscientiously study and solve the new situations and new problems encountered in the work of veteran cadres, and truly respect veteran cadres politically, show concern for them ideologically, and take care of them in their daily lives. Lei Bo hoped that the veteran leaders and comrades would continue to spare no effort to give full play to their remaining enthusiasm with the ambition of retiring and making achievements in the old, give more opinions and good policies to Yao'an's development, actively give play to their role as advisers, supervisors, bridges, and leaders, contribute to the cause of the party and the people, and make contributions to Yao'an's leapfrog development.
