Ming Xiaoling, reproducing the historical landscape of "silver medal deer coming and going in the forest"

As early as the Shang Dynasty more than 3,000 years ago, our ancestors began to fence deer. Since then, royal dynasties have had the wind of raising deer. When Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang built the Ming Tombs, he raised thousands of deer in the Xiaoling Area, and the deer had a silver medal hanging around their necks with the words "Changsheng", so posterity called the Xiaoling deer "Changsheng Deer" or "Silver Deer". Zhang Ying's "Southern Tour from the Chronicle", Kangxi Twenty-eighth Year (1689), Kangxi Emperor Southern Tour, When the Ming Tomb was sacrificed, "the Hall of Enjoyment and the Treasure City seemed to be unharmed, and the pine was originally deer, and the saltiness was obtained", indicating that there were deer in the Ming Tombs at that time. During the Kangxi Dynasty, Lao Zhizhi's "Song of Overlooking Xuanwu Lake" also said: "The Yuanwa Mountain Mausoleum Tree comes to the tree to graze, and shoots to harvest silver deer." During the Light Years of Jiaqing Dao in the Qing Dynasty, Chen Wenshu also mentioned in his "Song of the Silver Medal of the Immortal Deer in Xiaoling": "The deer walked in the Chu and Han dynasties in the Central Plains, and the silver medal Yule Changsheng character" was also mentioned.

"Changsheng Deer Garden" is located on the east side of the Meihua Valley of The Ming Dynasty and on the north shore of Yanque Lake, covering an area of about 5,000 square meters. The south side of the deer garden is separated from the lake of Mingling Road, which is only a few meters away, and about 20 sika deer are kept in captivity. The scenic spot is also in the Plum Blossom Valley area, where about 10 sika deer are stocked every day, reproducing the historical landscape of "silver deer coming and going in the forest". Citizens and tourists who enter the Ming Tombs can have a close contact with the deer.
