The South Korean side commented on Kim and Jeong's declaration of the final war: meaningful and weighty

Seoul, 24 Sep (China News Service) -- According to South Korean media reports, on 24 September local time, Park Soo-hyun, chief secretary of national communication at the South Korean Blue House, said on a news program that Kim Yoo-cheon, vice minister of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee, made a speech on the proposal of the ROK side's declaration on the end of the war.

Park soo-hyun said that further analysis is still in place, and it is too early to talk about how to deal with the future and the government's position. According to Park So-hyun's analysis, Lee Tae-sung, vice minister of the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement the other day that it was "too early" to declare the end of the war, and that there was actually no conflict with Kim Yo-jong's conversation.

Park Soo-hyun said that Lee Tae-sung's remarks were mainly to release information to the United States, and although he called the declaration of the end of the war "too early," he put forward the demand that "the United States withdraw its policy toward the dprk." It also means that the door to dialogue remains open. In his conversation, Kim Yo-jong also put forward the preconditions for declaring the end of the war, which can be understood as releasing a message to South Korea.

In response to questions about the possibility of a final declaration by all parties concerned during Moon's term, Park believes that if the time is ripe, it will be entirely possible. If the United States can respond to the demand for "rescinding the policy of the enemy North Korea" and thus accept it by the DPRK, the dialogue process will be significantly accelerated.

On the 21st of this month, South Korean President Moon Jae-in called for the resumption of inter-Korean and US-DPRK dialogue as soon as possible in his speech at the general debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, and called on all relevant parties to issue a declaration on the end of the Korean War. Lee Tae-sung, vice minister of the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on the 23rd that it is "too early" to sign the declaration of the end of the war, and as long as the United States does not change its policy of hostility toward the DPRK, even if it signs the declaration of the end of the war, it will have no meaning. Kim Yo-jong, vice minister of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said in a statement on the 24th that if the ROK can "be cautious in words and deeds and not engage in hostile acts" with the DPRK, the DPRK is willing to re-maintain close communication between the North and the South, and to constructively discuss the restoration of relations and the prospects for development.
