Bruce, 64, Campbell is a retired electrical engineer who always maintains a very creative mind.

At the age of 20, he spent $23,000 to buy a 10-acre plot of land in the hillsboro forest.

How to use this land, he has a very clear idea.

Eventually he built the most unique home on earth with an old airplane and this land.

Bruce Campbell

Campbell has loved to create new things by fiddling with old things since childhood.

Originally, he planned to stitch together several different cargo ships to build a home on the land.

It seems like a creative idea.

But then Campbell abandoned the idea because someone had already realized it early.

Plans were therefore shelved.

Twenty years later, he heard about Mississippi's barber Joanne M. Arthurly's story.

As the original home was burned down in a fire accident, instead, Arthurly bought a Boeing 727, placed it by a quiet river, and rebuilt his home by renovating the fully functional airplane.

The story made Campbell rethink his plans, and he decided to make a change.

In 1999, Campbell decided to buy a Boeing 727 aircraft from Olympic Airlines for up to $100,000.

In addition, he needed to transport the huge plane to the forests of Oregon.

Because this aircraft had to be imported from Athens, Greece, the mode of transport was naturally a conundrum.

The transportation costs eventually added up to nearly $120,000, which meant he had to pay $220,000 for the plane.

However, for him it was great value for money.

Inside the plane there is all the comfort equipment you could possibly need.

Many of the original elements of the aircraft have been left intact, such as seats and toilets. Campbell even added a washing machine and a sink.

There's a lot of room inside the Boeing 727, but Campbell has a simple stay in this unusual home.

He slept on futons, cooked in the microwave and toaster, ate mostly cereals and canned food, and made many of his own temporary equipment.
