Beijing, 26 Oct (Xinhua) -- The China Figure Skating Association announced on October 26 that it will launch the country's first set of figure skating radio exercises.

This set of radio exercises is jointly created by the China Figure Skating Association and the China Dancers Association, starting from the educational, artistic and fitness, and fully demonstrates the characteristics of figure skating.

As a sport that combines technical skills with music and dance art, figure skating has greatly increased its participation and attention in recent years under the impetus of the policy of "expanding from the south to the west and expanding eastward" of ice and snow sports through the preparation and holding of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. However, the unavoidable reality is that factors such as training grounds, equipment and regional traditions have limited some people's understanding and attempts at figure skating to a certain extent. To this end, the China Figure Skating Association and the China Dancers Association have created this set of broadcast exercises on the basis of fully studying the basic technical movements of figure skating in the early stage, and comprehensively considering the improvement of physical qualities such as flexibility, coordination and flexibility.

The whole set of movements is gradual, from warm-up to posture training of upper and lower limbs and whole body, to special training such as sliding, spinning and jumping, and finally to comprehensive display and figure skating etiquette to form a complete system.

Shen Xue, chairman of the China Figure Skating Association, said that this set of broadcast exercises starts from a universal and entry-level perspective, starting from cultivating and improving the basic balance and coordination ability of the body in figure skating land training, and cultivating participants' interest in figure skating with tangible body perception and movement training.

She said: "This set of broadcast exercises can help children master the introductory movements of figure skating on land, break the original geographical and venue conditions... I believe that whether it is a beginner with zero foundation or a figure skating practitioner with a certain foundation, they can gain something through practice. ”

Pair skating world champions Pang Qing and Tong Jian participated in the recording of this broadcast exercise. Tong Jian said: "The young players who have begun to practice figure skating will definitely feel more kind to this set of exercises, because many of the movements are often repeated in the usual training. For children who have not yet been exposed to skating, these stretching and graceful movements will also play a guiding and promoting role, attracting them to learn and understand the sport of figure skating. ”

In the view of Luo Bin, the artistic director of this set of broadcast exercises and the secretary of the sub-party group of the China Dancers Association, figure skating radio exercises are a high-end combination of art and sports. "We hope to add Chinese attributes to this sport and become a bridge for the popularization of ice and snow culture." He said.

Next, the China Figure Skating Association will launch figure skating broadcast exercise education textbooks to publicize and promote figure skating sports into the campus, and at the same time use the combination of online publicity and offline display to promote it to the whole society.
