According to the BBC, British actor, producer and first James Bond actor Sean Connery died at the age of 90. He was the first 007 and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Born on August 25, 1930 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sean Connery dropped out of school at the age of 13 to earn a living, entered the Royal Navy at the age of 16, and after retiring from the army due to illness, he also worked as a mason, truck driver, coffin maker, personal bodyguard, art model, and lifeguard.
In 1961, British studios began planning the 007 James Bond series, a huge project to adapt Fleming's novels into films. Connery, who was tall and strong at the time, was quickly identified as Bond's actor.
In 1962, the first film in the 007 series, Dr. No. (Dr. NO), was released with great success, and Connery became famous in Hollywood.
Between the 1960s and 1970s, connery starred as the first actor of 007 in six official 007 series.
He then won the 60th Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as veteran detective Malone in the 1987 film "The Iron Mask".
Sean Connery's representative works also include "Murder on the Orient Express", "Brave to Kill Island", "Sky Trap", "Skyfall" and other movies.
