The hundred-year journey is magnificent, and the original intention of the hundred-year journey has lasted for a long time. Since the whole party has carried out in-depth party history study and education, the study and education of party history in Yunnan Province has started solidly, carried out in an orderly manner, and gone deep and solid. Xinhuanet Yunnan Channel launched a series of reports "Yunnan Story · Chu Xin", which deeply shows the story of party members in various fields and on all fronts in Yunling, drawing strength from the study of party history, and practicing the mission of the original heart in serving the people.

Yunnan Wuliang Mountain, in recent years, is famous throughout the country because of the winter cherry blossoms that spread over the mountains, and is praised by netizens as "the earliest place to arrive in spring". In fact, the magic and beauty of Wuliang Mountain is not only the winter cherry blossoms, there are 7583 hectares of national nature reserves here, distributed with many rare animals and plants such as Bole trees, long-leaved magnolias, western black-crowned gibbons, white-bellied pintail green doves and so on.
People do not live up to Qingshan, and Qingshan will certainly not live up to people. Behind the lush and vigorous mountains is the decades-long perseverance and dedication of a group of people. We walked into the depths of Wuliang Mountain in Nanjian County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, visited grassroots party members who took root in the mountains and forests, and listened to their stories of practicing their original mission and "living up to qingshan".
32 years of guarding the mountain ranger, witnessing the "reappearance" of the Western Black-crowned Gibbon in the immeasurable mountain
Luo Kaichun, who has 25 years of party experience, is a ranger in the Wuliangshan National Nature Reserve, and at the age of 25, he took over his father's class and undertook the patrol work of the Wuliangshan Railing Fence Area. Patrolling mountains and forest protection, discouraging poaching, scientific research and monitoring... Luo Kaichun has been guarding The Infinite Mountain for 32 years.
After 12 years, recalling the scene of finding the West Black-crowned Gibbon, Luo Kaichun still couldn't hide his excitement, "When I heard the voice, I followed and saw a brown-yellow one in the distance, crouching in a tree." As soon as it found me, it whizzed and ran away! ”
The western black-crowned gibbon is known as the "jungle singer" and its song is clear and long. Luo Kaichun, who grew up in WuliangShan, is very familiar with this sound, "When I was a child, I often heard it, and adults told me that it was 'called monkey'. But after about 2002, I never heard of it again. ”

The western black-crowned gibbon is a national key protected wild animal, which is mainly distributed in The Wuliang Mountain and Ailao Mountain in Yunnan Province in China, and the population is very rare, and it is assessed as a critically endangered species. Through Luo Kaichun's description, experts told him that what he found was a female western black-crowned gibbon.
In the following years, the number of western black-crowned gibbons observed by Luo Kaichun continued to grow, "In 2012, another black, that is, male, was found to be paired with the female that was previously found; in 2015, a small baby was born, and in 2019, another one was born..." So far, the number of western black-crowned gibbons that Luo Kaichun has monitored for a long time has reached about 15 in 3 groups.
Not only the western black-crowned gibbon, in recent years, Luo Kaichun has observed more and more rare wild animals through the naked eye and infrared cameras, such as hairy-crowned deer, black bears, yellow-throated martens, Chinese iguanas, black-necked long-tailed pheasants... Their frequent appearance is a vivid example of Wuliangshan's continuous promotion of biodiversity conservation, and as a ranger who has adhered to the mountain for 32 years, Luo Kaichun is both a witness and a participant in this process.

In the 1980s and 1990s, local lawbreakers indiscriminately cut down logging, poaching and poaching and other illegal and criminal activities occurred from time to time, and Luo Kaichun tirelessly popularized legal knowledge to villagers while wrestling wits and courage with lawbreakers. In the most thrilling one, Luo Kaichun followed the sound of gunfire and dog barking, and chased a group of poaching iguanas, the other side was 4 adult men, who were resting in a clearing in the forest, and there was a shotgun next to him. In the face of the crowded poachers, Luo Kaichun made a clever move, "snapped" and pressed the camera shutter, taking advantage of the gap between several people covering their faces to avoid, and quickly stepped forward to step on the shotgun with his foot... In Zhou Xuanzhong, Luo Kaichun initially learned about the information of several people, and as soon as he went down the mountain, he quickly reported the case. In the end, through the clues provided by Luo Kaichun, the public security organs quickly targeted the target and brought several criminals to justice.
In the interview, Luo Kaichun told us that he was using a film camera at the time, in fact, there was no film in it, "I think it is still a little afraid!" ”
In order to protect the Immeasurable Mountain, Luo Kaichun not only endured the loneliness and fatigue of a person patrolling the mountain for many years, but also offended many people, including several relatives. Why can such a "thankless" job last for 32 years? Luo Kaichun's answer was simple and moving, "Serving the people is the purpose of Communist Party members, we have lived in Wuliang Mountain for generations, as a Communist Party member and a forest ranger, I have the responsibility to guard the green waters and green mountains and benefit future generations." ”
22 Chinese New Year's Eve guard migratory bird migration channels and make "identity cards" for birds
At 12 o'clock in the evening, the Wuliangshan National Nature Reserve was dark and silent, and in front of a small building with lights on the northernmost Phoenix Mountain, Yuan Yuchuan waited for "guests" from afar.
Phoenix Mountain is an important migratory bird migration channel in southwest China, with the characteristics of wide range of birds, large number, long time and variety, and is an ideal place for bird circumference and research. Since 1999, every autumn and winter, the Nanjian Management and Conservation Bureau of Wuliangshan National Nature Reserve has carried out bird ring work at the Phoenix Mountain Bird Ring Station, and Yuan Yuchuan is one of the staff.

Bird rings are special metal rings uniformly made by the National Bird Rings Center and engraved with unique numbers fixed to the tarsals of birds, and then released in situ for re-observation at other locations. In this way, the migration routes of birds, population dynamics, etc. are studied. In layman's terms, it is to make "identity cards" for birds.
"At night, the fog in the mountains is heavy, and we put a lamp on the ground, and they fly along the light." Yuan Yuchuan's work is usually carried out at night, although the Huanzhi station is equipped with a soft net, but in order to prevent harm to the birds, Yuan Yuchuan and colleagues must take turns staring at the monitoring screen in the office for 10 consecutive hours, once they are found to be on the Internet, they must be untied immediately, and the whole process is only five or six minutes.

"Birds are friends of humans, and the work of the ring is to better monitor birds and protect birds." What makes Yuan Yuchuan happy is that there are more and more local birds, "The birds that were difficult to see when I was a child are now very common, which proves that our ecological environment is getting better and better!" ”
The green water and green mountains are the golden mountains and silver mountains. Yuan Yuchuan said that as a communist party member and a bird protection worker, he has the responsibility and obligation to play the leading role of party members and protect the biodiversity of Wuliang Mountain. "Especially since the study and education of party history was launched, the sense of social responsibility and dedication of the older generation of revolutionaries has further inspired me to strengthen my conviction, take root in the mountains, and dedicate my strength to the construction of ecological civilization."
The waves of the forest sea, the birdsong is crisp. The perseverance in the depths of the Immeasurable Mountain continues. (End)
