Migratory birds | migratory birds and wild ducks go bird watching on the shores of lakeside

The temperature plummeted, and it was time for migratory birds to migrate. According to observations, at about 3:30 p.m. on October 19, more than 10 giant swans landed on the tidal flats of Beijing's Guanting Reservoir, becoming the first batch of wintering migratory birds to enter Beijing, and at the same time monitoring as many as 15,000 migratory birds of various kinds entering Beijing.

Preliminary forecasts are that in early November, migratory birds moving south from the Siberian region will soon enter the Beijing area. Immediately, the number of migratory birds entering Beijing is expected to reach a peak. At the same time, beijing's native resident birds are also migrating in large numbers to the mountains and forests.

With the strengthening of biodiversity conservation in Yanqing, more and more birds come here to overwinter every year. As one of the transit points on the East Asian-Australian migration route, the Wild Duck Lake Nature Reserve is rich in food resources and geographical advantages. The park's tidal flats and rivers crisscross each other, and the food chains such as fish, shrimp and insects are sufficient and complete, providing conditions for these migratory birds to inhabit and being an excellent bird watching spot!
