Most of the excellent Chinese pigeon breeds have a beautiful appearance, fast flight speed, strong resistance to stress, strong desire to return home, and good results in medium and long distance racing.
(1) Li Meiling pigeon
Also known as Shanghai plum seed. Bred in the 1930s, it is one of the earliest pigeon breeds in China to be bred by itself. The breeder is a doctor named Li Meiling. He imported some famous pigeons from Germany, and after his own improvement and breeding, he bred a pigeon breed that was on par with the excellent carrier pigeons raised by foreigners in Shanghai at that time, and thus became famous and was called Li Meiling breed by pigeon breeders in Shanghai. This pigeon breed is resistant to long-lasting flight.
(ii) Taiwanese carrier pigeons
Taiwanese species. Due to the geographical environment, this pigeon has the characteristic of flying over the ocean.
(3) Kunming tumor-nosed pigeon
The appearance is similar to that of the English Carrio pigeon. It has the characteristics of flying in harsh climatic conditions.
(4) Kunming forest black
Possess the ability to dodge falcons.
(5) Yunnan Five O Series
Has the characteristics of mobile communication. It is one of the basic breeds of the purified rejuvenated long-range pigeon. It belongs to the intermediate species.
(6) Plateau raindrops
Yunnan species. There are 27 series in total. Ability to fly under environmental conditions of complex terrain and complex climates. The flight load can reach 30 ~ 35 grams. Strong resistance to stress, after fasting and water for 5 days can still survive. It is a middle-range racing pigeon breed.
(vii) Komasa
Yunnan species. Weighs 450 to 500 g and is a medium-sized species. Has round-trip communication performance. It is a short-distance fast pigeon breed.
(viii) Pigeon in a Helmet (Dewlap)
Breeding is common in Europe. In 1883, it was thought to be native to the Middle East, so it was called the "Beirut carrier pigeon". In 1887, a man named Rayeru proposed that this pigeon breed is native to the Beijing area of our country. This pigeon breed is a beautiful man with a weight of 560 to 570 g. Because it has a small amount of white hair on the top of its head, it seems to wear a white hat, so it is called a helmet pigeon. The pigeon is smart, responsive and agile. In foreign countries, the 500 to 1000 km competition results are very good.
(9) Chinese Blue
It is a pigeon breed that has been used as a "flying slave book" and a racing pigeon in our country, with excellent flying ability and can fly for 10 hours. Breeding is common in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian provinces in China. Looks like a racing pigeon. Weight 340 to 425 g.
