Reach out in time
The child broke his jaw and cried in pain, and he was eager to help disinfect and stop the bleeding
Zhong Peijie, a 38-year-old veteran, currently runs a fresh supermarket in the Oriental New Town community and is also the head of the Xiang'an Service Station of the Ludao Veterans Learning Lei Feng Volunteer Service Team.
At more than 8 o'clock in the evening of the 29th, a female owner took the child for a walk back, and when passing the storefront outside the community, the child accidentally fell, and his chin slammed into a chair next to it, and he immediately cut a hole, and the blood flowed a lot, and the child cried in pain.
The female owner was a little dizzy, and her husband was not at home on night shift that day, and she did not know what to do for a while. After Zhong Peijie saw it, he rushed forward to check the child's wounds, and after obtaining the consent of the parents, he took out the first aid kit from the veteran service station and found gauze and iodine wine. He half-squatted down to soothe the child's emotions first. When the child stopped crying, he dipped a cotton swab in iodine, carefully cleaned and disinfected the wound, and then used tape to apply gauze.
"Thank you so much!" The child's mother was grateful for Zhong Peijie's enthusiastic behavior.
Discharge does not fade
The service station is stocked with tea and medicines and actively helps those in need
This is not the first time that Zhong Peijie has enthusiastically helped others. Some time ago, a citizen who came to see a house nearby also accidentally fell, hit a steel bar on his forehead, and the blood flowed suddenly, and he also helped the other party stop the bleeding first, and then drove the other party's car to send him to the health center to treat the wound.
"When I was a soldier before, I learned these basic first aid methods in the army." Zhong Peijie told reporters that "retirement does not fade", after retiring from the army, he joined the Ludao veterans lei feng volunteer service team, using his storefront as a service station, hoping to do his part to help people around him who encounter difficulties.
Zhong Peijie prepared some tables and chairs at the service station, as well as free tea, for the surrounding sanitation workers, the elderly, and residents waiting to pick up and drop off their children to rest and replenish water. At the same time, he also purchased some first-aid supplies and anti-heat cooling pills in case of unforeseen needs.
"Whenever I'm needed, I can be there as soon as I can." Zhong Peijie said with a smile that he and other veterans of the service station all had this desire, bringing the style of the troops to the local area and trying to help the residents do what they could.
