Changchun, 15 Oct (China News Network) -- Over the past few days, Jilin Province, located in the central part of Northeast China, has been hit by a cold wave, and the temperature has plummeted. Since the 15th, many places in the province have opened plugs for heating in advance to ensure the people's heating needs.
The Jilin Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning of cold tide on the 14th. According to the local meteorological department, the cold air has been active recently, the temperature in Jilin Province is lower than usual, from the 15th to the 17th, the lowest temperature in many parts of the province will drop below the freezing point, and the minimum temperature can reach -3 °C to -7 °C.
Changchun Heat (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changhe Group") held a press conference on the 15th to announce the opening of the plug for heating, which is 5 days earlier than the prescribed heating time. As the largest enterprise in Jilin Province, it undertakes the heating work of 570,000 users and more than 1,400 government agencies, enterprises and institutions in Changchun.
Liu Yanan, assistant general manager and chief dispatcher of Changhe Group, introduced in an interview that the group cooperated with many thermal power plants such as Datang and Huaneng to form a heating mode based on cogeneration heat sources, and when the heat supply peak period is encountered, the peak shaving boiler room will be started as a heat source supplement, forming a new pattern of multi-heat source networking that is mutually secure.

Regarding the people's concern about the peak shaving coal, Liu Yanan said that although the current coal supply is tight, the group has long been prepared.
Liu Yanan introduced that this year, the group carried out coal market research, bidding and procurement, reserves and other work in advance, and also increased the direct mining of coal mines, imports of Russian coal and other procurement channels. At present, the total amount of coal stored at each coal storage point has reached 85% of the total storage of the group, ensuring a stable heat supply in Changchun this winter.
The reporter learned that in addition to Changchun, Jilin (City), Yanji, Songyuan and other places have also opened plugs for heating.
Under the current tight coal supply situation, the Changchun Municipal Development and Reform Commission requires the temporary shutdown of electrical facilities such as building façade lighting, lighting engineering, landscape lighting, and commercial advertising screens, and advocates enterprises to shut down electronic screens and lightbox advertising facilities to save electricity.
