The maximum hourly rain intensity during the process is 20-30 mm. The area affected by heavy precipitation is prone to geological disasters such as landslides, mudslides, and collapses, and the meteorological risk level of flash floods and small and medium-sized rivers is high.

At 8 o'clock on October 5, the Xianyang Hydrological Station of the main stream of the Weihe River had a flow of 3190 cubic meters per second, and the Lintong Hydrological Station had a flow of 3070 cubic meters per second, forming the No. 3 flood of the Weihe River in 2021.
The Provincial Water Conservancy Department continued to maintain the provincial flood and drought disaster prevention level IV emergency response, jointly issued the 38th flash flood disaster early warning with the Meteorological Bureau, and conducted a comprehensive inspection of the shifts at the yulin and Yan'an city and county levels, and the flood prevention personnel at all levels remained on duty for 24 hours. The Provincial Hydrological and Water Resources Survey Center pays close attention to weather forecasts and changes in rainwater conditions, and timely issues early warning forecasts and notifications of water conditions. Shaanxi Province launched a level IV flood control emergency response
