Why was Routing & Switching renamed Datacom-Carrier?
In the past, we measured whether an engineer was very good, on the one hand, to see whether the protocol was understood enough, on the other hand, to see if the command line was typed fast enough. The previous IP network equipment was mainly switched to the router, so our corresponding authentication is also called more straightforward, which is called routing switching Routing & Switching authentication. Now that 5G and cloud networks are popular, the types of services carried in the network are more abundant, not only routing exchange, but also for the completion of data exchange or data communication. Of course, the release of the Datacom-Carrier certification architecture is not only to change the name for the sake of renaming, but to upgrade the technical content corresponding to the capabilities required for future intelligent IP networks based on the background of cloud network transformation.
What are the changes to the new authentication architecture?
The new Datacom-Carrier certification architecture is divided into three directions: IP bearer, telecom cloud bearer and intelligent operation and maintenance from the perspective of how to organically combine the network and the cloud, and the content of the knowledge system is also divided into three major parts from the original protocol principle and configuration maintenance into network technology, service scenarios and intelligent orchestration. At the same time, our HCIP certification also adopts the 1+N examination method, that is, to obtain the certificates of ip bearer, telecom cloud bearer and intelligent operation and maintenance, you must first pass the common core exam, and then pass each "N" corresponding sub-direction exam. Of course, HCIE's expert positioning is a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary, multi-functional, so there is no molecular direction at this stage, as before, candidates need to pass the written test, computer test and interview to obtain a certificate.
