Kane: The reason why Mourinho's philosophy fits with mine may not work may be the lack of leadership in the team

Live Bar May 21 Kane was interviewed by Neville and admitted that he had a desire to leave Tottenham. Today, the full version of the interview was released on the talk show, where Kane talked about his relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho.

Kane: "It's really different from before, it's different in terms of playing style, preparation style and tactical training. Obviously Mauricio (Pochettino) will let us do a lot of work in the gym, do a lot of physical work, but José (Mourinho) will not do much in this regard, but José obviously wants us to be like a man, to act like a man on the pitch, to have leading players on the pitch.

"Honestly, that's probably why it didn't work with José, because we didn't have enough leadership at that time. It is clear that the club is in a difficult phase, and it is difficult for Mauricio to have a coach to take over after he leaves.

"I think I had a very good relationship with José and we got along very well from the first minute. I think we understand each other, we have similar mindsets, the way we look at the field, the way we train, so we build that relationship.

'I'll say it again, it's a shame we didn't succeed, but I'm lucky enough to be able to work with Mauricio and José, they're all very good coaches and they've only been good for my career.'

When Asked by Neville if Mourinho lacked trust in sports science, Kane said: "It's not like he's against sports science, it's not that he doesn't want you to do it, it's that it's certainly not his priority." He's thinking more about things on the pitch, that's what we're going to do, that's what we need to prepare for. He's almost out of your state when he's training, he's not the kind of guy who looks at you and takes care of you. We still had some gym classes but it wasn't what he expected. You know, we're professional players and he doesn't need to tell us to go to the gym, that's what we should do.

"José has accumulated a lot of experience in the biggest games, the biggest clubs, that's what I mean by we have a similar mentality, like 'whatever it takes to win', that's football.

'José just wants to win, it's the idea he's trying to instill in Tottenham players, to do anything for the sake of winning, I feel like like you said, we've really gotten more into the modern life, but maybe the relationship [he's with some people] doesn't work very well, but in my opinion, the idea is good for me.'
