The reason for his expulsion was actually dissatisfaction with Darkseid's atrocities in the process of seizing the reign of the Apocalypse Star, and secretly betrayed his uncle to several opposition warlords, but it is estimated that Steppenwolf later returned to the taste, feeling that Darkseid, who still had an omega effect, had a better chance, so he killed the warlords and released him again.
