October 27 marks the 100-day countdown to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. In recent days, celebrations have been held all over the country, looking forward to the successful holding of the Beijing Winter Olympics. On October 30, the celebration of the Xinjiang branch venue was held at the newly built hot spring cross-country ski resort in Atz Village, Zarmut Township, Wenquan County. Athletes, coaches and ski enthusiasts from the Xinjiang Cross-Country Skiing Team, as well as representatives of the masses of Wenquan County, attended the celebration.

Gao Xinxin, deputy secretary of the party group and director of the Wenquan County Culture, Sports, Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau, introduced that the hot spring cross-country ski resort started construction in early September, and the planned area of the snow resort covers an area of 5400 mu, and 8 professional cross-country skiing tracks and 1500 mu of recreational snow areas are built in line with international event standards. The ski resort can not only meet the training and competition of professional cross-country skiing teams, but also meet the needs of popular skiing and snow entertainment activities. At present, the ski resort has completed the construction of five professional ski slopes, and all are scheduled to be completed by the end of December.
"This event is one of the 100-day countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics in our region, and we used the first slide of the newly built snow field to express the expectations of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang for the Winter Olympics." Jiang Shicai, deputy director of the Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, said.
At the event site, the Sports Bureau of the Autonomous Region also donated 200 sets of professional ski equipment to Wenquan County.
