So the architect Hiroshi Shimada will be 7 meters high house,
Separated by 13 floors, staggered.
The master determines its function according to the size of each floor,
Big do living room, bedroom,
Small pendulum piano, cupboard,
The whole home has only a toilet with a door.
Each floor is filled with Mrs. Uehara's personal belongings,
Whether it's shells that have been collected since 50 years ago,
Or wildflowers and weeds picked up on the side of the road.
Although there are many things, they are not messy at all,

Two years ago, we moved out of our apartment building, bought the land on the outskirts of Osaka, and found an architect, Mr. Yoshi Shimada, to build a house for us.
It is inconspicuous from the appearance, it is 7 meters high, that is, an ordinary two-story building, and the flat area is 49 square meters.

But indoors, the architect built 13 planes of different heights, which can also be said to be 13 floors.
Each floor is spaced at 70 cm intervals and is connected by a staircase. The lower part is supported by a steel frame, and the upper part is welded with steel bars.
In Japan, tables are basically 70 centimeters tall, so if you separate the floor with a height of 70 centimeters, all the floors can be used as tables.
The floor is based on a triangle with a side length of 3 meters. The size of each floor is considered for the purpose of the room, but in fact, it does not matter if you want to change it at will.
For example, this layer is a pentagon of three triangles, the space is relatively large, we use it as a kitchen and a dining room.
This floor is the largest, it is quadrilateral, so the living room is placed on this floor.
After entering the door, there are two routes upstairs, one left and one right, which will converge in the living room in the middle.
The left one goes straight up to the restaurant,
The one on the right is specially designed for her daughter, who can go up to her own recreation room and then go up to the piano room. This is done in consideration of the fact that when the daughter grows up, if she wants to have her own space, even if it is separated here, it will not affect the structure of the house.
Our family is an ordinary working class, and we can only afford to buy a house once in our lives. If you spend millions without pretending to be what you like, you can't create any blueprint for happiness in this home.
So the ideal home for me, hope to meet these points:
Don't install a door in your home
I am now retired at home, my husband works at the company, and my daughter has to go to school during the day, so the family does not have much time to spend together. If they came back to their rooms and closed the bedroom door, they would feel very lonely.
So I wanted to be able to perceive each other's presence in this home, so I asked not to install doors and not to have separate rooms.
Only the restrooms have doors here.
There was sunlight coming in every direction of the room
Our home is surrounded by parking lots and apartment blocks, and more high-rise buildings will be built here in the near future. So considering that the roof is the only well-lit outdoor space, Mr. Shimada built two triangular terraces on the top floor to allow enough sunlight to come in.
The walls are painted white, which facilitates the spread of light. And considering that there are many daily necessities, it will look cleaner and fresher no matter what you put in.
I also love music, and the staircase house turns the whole room into an echo room, whether I play music or my daughter plays the piano, the sound is very good.
There should be enough flat space to place things
I don't like fixed storage cabinets, there are many things, so I want to arrange it according to my own ideas. If you put them all away, if you can't see them, you will feel as if you haven't bought these things, and in the end they will become unwanted things.
I'm not collecting anything, I just want it if I like it, and I have a strong materialistic desire. I've been picking up shells since I was a kid, and I've been throwing them away for 50 years now, and I probably have 100 pieces of a brand of clothing. I also like plants and wood, and I can also make handmade plants at home.
In Japan, a large number of people want to live a minimalist life, so there are already many people who have made efforts to focus on reducing daily necessities. But how to let people live in harmony with personal belongings in a small house is the biggest challenge of our family.
I also like the extremely simple space like the tea room, but if I live by myself, I still prefer to have a sense of life. Minimalist house was cool but not suitable for our family.
After the house was built, it was posted online and we also received a lot of reviews. There are too many things to say, like garbage cans, too dangerous, not suitable for the elderly and children with disabilities, unable to call friends to come to the house to drink, and so on.
I was also worried about whether my husband and children would be unhappy, but I didn't expect that the children were particularly happy, often calling friends to play at home, my husband just listened to me everything, and did whatever I wanted, so I was very grateful to him.
It took us a lifetime of savings to be able to afford such a house, so as long as we feel comfortable, can't we?
