Beijing News (reporter Cheng Yalong) At about 5 p.m. on October 30, a residential building in Jinshui District of Zhengzhou City caught fire. The Beijing News reporter learned that the house on fire was the staff dormitory of the bathing center under the residents. The staff of the relevant department of the Jinshui District Committee said that the fire caused 3 deaths, and at present, the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A bathing center staff dormitory was on fire
On the evening of the 30th, the Beijing News reporter saw at the scene that the location of the fire was Building 44, Sanitary Road, Jinshui District, which is a single-family building, with a total of 6 floors divided into two units. The balconies on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors of the west wing were blackened by smoke. Video from the scene shows that at the time of the incident, the room on the 4th floor caught fire, and the flames jumped out of the balcony and billowed smoke.
An owner of No. 43 Courtyard said that at about 5 p.m., he smelled "scorching" at home, originally thought that it was a neighbor cooking pot, opened the window to check and found that smoke had come out of the corridor of Courtyard 44.
A onlooker at the scene said that the bottom two floors of the building is a bathing center, and its staff dormitory is on the fourth floor. After the incident, he contacted relatives working at the bathing center to inquire and learned that it was the staff dormitory of the center that was on fire, and 3 people were trapped. Former employees of the bathing centre also confirmed that the centre rented two houses on the 4th floor, one for men and one for female staff.
On the evening of the 30th, the Beijing News reporter saw at the scene that this bathing center was named Yaoyuwan Bathing Center, which was located in the same building as the house that caught fire, and its indoor light source was turned off, and the cordon was pulled up outside the door. The fire killed 3 people
Employees of the bathing center said that after the incident, he wanted to go back to the dormitory to fight the fire, but was stopped by the fire, and the fire was quickly extinguished. The employee said that the fire room may be a male staff dormitory, there are two houses in the dormitory, in addition to the staff residence, there is a kitchen in the room for making staff meals, and the kitchen is isolated from the staff house.
The family of a bathing center staff member told reporters that at 6 p.m. on the 30th, he received a call from his compatriots saying that the staff dormitory of the bathing center was on fire, and asked them to come to see if the family had anything to do. During this period, he contacted his family by phone several times, but the phones were turned off.
The family said that his nephew, who had just turned 19 this year and had been working at the bathing center for more than a year, had made an appointment with his fellow villagers to take the high-speed train home at 6:30 p.m. that morning, but had not been able to contact him before leaving. In the early morning of the 31st, the family learned from the local police station that the nephew had been killed in the fire.
The Beijing News reporter saw at the scene that at about 10 p.m. on the 30th, 3 bodies were carried out of the Courtyard no. 44 and loaded into a Jinbei car to leave the scene.
On the 31st, a reporter from the Beijing News confirmed from the relevant departments of the Jinshui District Committee of Zhengzhou City that the fire caused a total of 3 deaths, and the cause of the fire is currently under further investigation.
