Chen Zhengren, born in 1907, is a native of Suichuan, Jiangxi. In August 1925, he joined the Communist Party of China. In January 1928, he followed Mao Zedong into the struggle of Jinggangshan, and successively served as the secretary of the Suichuan County CPC Committee and the deputy secretary of the Xianggan-Gansu Border Special Committee, known as the "son of Jinggang" and one of the founders of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base Area. He is an alternate member of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Standing Committee of the Second and Third National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He died on April 6, 1972.

After Chen Zhengren listened, he said sharply: "Who told you to do this, now is the time when the green and yellow are not connected, some of the villagers can't even eat enough, you are still so extravagant and wasteful, all of these are taken away, I come back this time not to eat meat dishes, only vegetarian dishes!" When the people present saw that he had moved the liver fire, they held their breath and withdrew all the meat dishes on the table. Chen Zhengren was at home for 7 days, and there were only two vegetarian dishes per meal, which was in the season of vegetable famine, and there were only amaranth, beans and gourds every day, which were eaten in turn.
▌ Cadres should seek truth from facts
After Chen Zhengren returned to his hometown, he did not sit at home and listen to the reports of the cadres, but went from house to house all day to understand the living and production situation of the masses. When the masses saw that he was approachable, they were also happy to reflect the problems to him, and he wrote down in his notebooks the problems that the masses had reported about the early rice and grass being too dense, demolishing houses, and leveling labor.
