The 10th Guangzhou International Light Festival, which lasted for 14 days, came to an end tonight (December 1). At the closing event, the Organizing Committee of the Light Festival commended outstanding lighting designers, outstanding volunteers, outstanding performers, and excellent service personnel. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the closing event also issued a special certificate of "Ten Years of Special Thanks" to thank 10 people who have made special contributions in the previous Guangzhou International Light Festival.

Looking back at this year's Light Festival, under the theme setting of "Happy Time Charming Yangcheng", 33 groups of brilliant lighting works were exhibited in 4 venues of "1+3" and "Cloud Watch Light Festival" online.
The concept of "happiness" is integrated into the visual effects of rainbow colors and high-tech light and shadow art, bringing the public a pleasing viewing experience. The two-week light display event was safe and orderly, and the atmosphere was warm. In order to allow more audiences to participate in the activities, this year's Light Festival is the first time in history that the exhibition period has been extended by 2 days, and the exhibition effect is good.

A major feature of this year's Guangzhou International Light Festival is the carefully created performance program combined with lighting works. From November 27th to 29th, the 10-year colorful series launched by the Publicity Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Guangzhou International Light Festival: Jazz New Power, New Folk Power, And New Power of Pop, won the applause of the whole hall for three performances.
In addition, such as Hai Xinsha No. 10's work "Winter Hope Rhythm", the dance and screen content complement each other and integrate, which can be described as full of tension under the impetus of music. The No. 13 work "Our Time" is a high-quality human-screen interactive stage performance jointly created by the powerful director Zhang Mei and the senior chief writer, Mr. Qiao Wei.
As one of the closing activities, the guangzhou international light festival 10th anniversary special series of activities "Ten Years of Brilliant Colors, New Power of Fashion" theatrical performance activity was held in Haixinsha Asian Games Park.
This fashion show is a fashion exhibition catwalk show jointly performed by fashion design master Qu Tingnan, fashion display and communication students of the College of Art and Design of Guangdong University of Technology, and planned and choreographed by Teacher Yu Qianqian, which debuted in Haixinsha for the first time with the Guangzhou International Light Festival, and the models wore traditional Chinese classical auspicious cloud patterns, colorful bird elements with wings spread and high flying, and paid tribute to traditional Chinese culture with red dragon patterns.
Guangzhou International Light Festival is no longer just a cultural and artistic event, but has become an important bridge and platform for international cultural exchanges and domestic urban interaction. Since the beginning of this year, including the Lyon Light Festival in France and the Sydney Light and Music Festival in Australia, only the Guangzhou International Light Festival was held as scheduled.
This also makes this year's light festival attract international attention. During the event, the Guangzhou International Light Festival communicated with counterparts in major cities in China, and "light" has become the best messenger of urban interconnection.
This year, the theme of the Guangzhou International Light Festival is "Happy Time, Charming Yangcheng". It aims to reproduce the happy time when the people strive to achieve a well-off society in an all-round way through the interpretation of lighting works, and reproduce the happy time when the public and the city prosper and develop together.
To this end, this year's Light Festival organized a number of exhibition experience activities for different groups. Nearly 800 people who have made special contributions to the construction and development of Guangzhou, including construction workers, sanitation workers, lighting industry practitioners and expert and scholar teams, as well as medical workers who are fighting in the frontline of the fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, have been invited to watch and experience the on-site lighting works.
Guangzhou International Light Festival is a spiritual bridge for citizens and tourists to feel the modern light and shadow art and cultural trends, and the organization and arrangement of these activities also make the Guangzhou International Light Festival more intimate and warm with the public.
