The presiding judge of the case was the person in charge of the Civil First Division, which is also the epitome of the "100 open classes for the president of the presidency and a thousand open courts for the president to popularize the law" activities carried out by the court. Tao Huihong and Li Ji, deputies to the Municipal People's Congress, Liu Lihua and Mo Xinbing, members of the CppcC Municipal Committee, Cao Jingyi and Xu Shaokai, supervisors of honest administration of the Intermediate People's Court, and students of the Law School of Hunan Polytechnic Institute observed the trial.

The local labor and personnel dispute arbitration commission rejected Fu's application for arbitration, and the court of first instance also rejected Fu's claim that the company pay corresponding economic compensation and unemployment insurance losses. Fu appealed to the Yueyang Intermediate Court.

After the stages of presenting evidence and cross-examining evidence, court debate, and final statement, the collegial panel decided to choose a time to pronounce the judgment because the facts of the case involved the issue of whether the exercise of the enterprise's autonomy in employment was legal and reasonable, and it was more complicated.

It is reported that the Yueyang Intermediate People's Court has vigorously promoted the activities of "100 open classes on the rule of law for presidents and 1,000 open courtrooms for presiding judges to popularize the law.", and the president of the court, as a post judge, will not only hear major and difficult cases, but also undertake small cases that are closely related to the production and life of the people, and turn the court trial site into an "open class on the rule of law." The trial procedures are standardized, complicated and simple, and the focus is prominent, which is a good "on-the-spot teaching" experience for judges' assistants, clerks, and law students who observe the trial.
