In April 2017, the southern counties and Yingshan counties of our city launched the investigation of the language protection project. Experts from the survey team collected a total of 12 dialect pronunciation speakers in the south and Yingshan. In accordance with the survey requirements of the national survey sites, the experts and 12 pronunciation speakers recorded a total of 2300 audio-visual materials of the southern dialect and 2300 audio-visual materials of the Yingshan dialect for more than half a year. It was learned from the investigation team of the "Zhongzhong Chinese Resources Conservation Project" in Nanchong that at the end of January this year, all dialect audio-visual materials recorded in Nanfang County and Yingshan County successfully passed the acceptance of the Expert Group of the State Language Commission and will be included in the "Chinese Chinese Language Resources Audio Database".

At the end of April 2017, the expert team selected He Qingyun, He Jun, Xie Yongxi, Xian Yigang, Wu Dehua and Wang Weiqi to participate in the audiovisual data recording as the official pronunciation of the southern dialect, and at the same time, Yang Shangui, Huang Pengyu, Tang Hongying, Pan Lan, Zhang Yahui and Zhang Qiwei were selected as the yingshan dialect pronunciation people to participate in the audiovisual data recording. In December 2017, after more than half a year of recording and supplementing, the expert team and 12 pronunciation speakers recorded a total of 4600 audio-visual materials such as words, vocabulary, grammar, oral culture, dialogue, and local Mandarin (2,300 in the south and 2,300 in Yingshan).
Up to now, in addition to the completion of the survey of the language protection project in the southern county and Yingshan County, Jialing District has also completed the investigation of the language protection project in 2016 and successfully passed the audit and acceptance of the State Language Commission. At present, the "Chinese Chinese Resources Audio Database" is being established, and after completion, the dialect audio-visual data of Jialing, Nanfang and Yingshan that have passed the audit and acceptance will all enter the database for permanent preservation.
After the audio-visual materials of various dialects in Nanchong enter the "Audio database of Chinese and Chinese dialect resources", it is not only conducive to the protection and inheritance of Nanchong's characteristic dialects, but also provides data materials for academic development, provides language resource services and oral cultural resource services to the society. In the future, if the public needs to find representative dialects or dialect cultures in Nanchong, they only need to log on to the Chinese treasure network and retrieve relevant audio and video materials.
