This year, "The Masked Singer Will Guess Guess" has been broadcast for three issues, and many old fans are complaining, and the lineup of masked singers this season can't recognize who it is, let alone wear a mask. If you take the first three episodes of the program as a reference, Naran at least feels that there are several problems with this year's "The Masked Singer":
The first is the "shrinkage" of the guest lineup. Back when "The Masked Singer" was first broadcast, both the singer lineup and the musical level were regarded as the "masked version" of "I Am a Singer", and almost every single pull out was a strong singer. The general director of "The Masked Singer" once said in an interview that Teacher Hong Tao often had exchanges on the selection of singers, and the two programs also shared resources for a time. For example, Tan Jing, GAI and others first went to "The Masked Singer", and then turned around and participated in "Singer". From this point of view, the control of the quality of music by "The Masked Singer" is still obvious to all.
However, from the perspective of the first three programs of this year, the "shrinkage" of the guest lineup of the program is obvious: He Jiehao, who was unveiled in the first period, is still the fourth place of the supergirl of the year, as for the name of Liu Xuejing, who is strange enough to need to check the encyclopedia to find out, the results that can be quite able to come up with are only the top 10 of the Wang Feng group in the 2016 "China New Song"; the second phase of the unveiling can only be matched with the word "singer", probably only Luo Qi, the prince who loves beans, and Xiao Shenyang, who is more recognized as a comedian, although he can also sing well. It is obvious that the proportion of powerful singers in each episode of the show is quietly declining, and it is more based on new love beans, talent picks and cross-border singers. The reason for this result is not difficult to understand, after all, "Singer" has been discontinued because it cannot invite people, and "The Masked Singer", which eats more artist resources than "Singer", needless to say.
The "shrinkage" of the guest lineup directly led to a cliff-like decline in the musical level of the program. "The Masked Singer" has experienced the concept of "guessing" entertainment from spelling skills to enhancing "guessing" entertainment, and finally positioned it as a "music suspense quiz reality show". But no matter how it changes, the music program itself has not changed, after all, this is the foundation of the whole show.
However, due to the decline in the number of singers in the guest lineup, the decline in the musical level of the program is almost all-round: the chorus link at the beginning always becomes a disaster, in order to take care of the singers with different musical standards and ranges at the same time, the chorus selection only seeks safety and does not seek excellence, and individuals do not even agree with the necessity of this link setting - neither collision can be high-quality golden songs, and the singing words of one person and one sentence cannot achieve the purpose of "guessing", and the only role is to hold up the duration.
Another amazing thing about "The Masked Singer" was that the famous singer broke the established label and brought the audience a new sense of hearing. But unfortunately, many guests this year did not even have a memorable label, let alone "breaking the label". The only thing that can talk about a breakthrough is probably only Luo Qi, who is a rock fan, who also sang a Cantonese classic "Thousand and One Thousand Que Songs". Although Huang Xiaoyun sang well, she still took the route she was familiar with. So from a personal point of view, the first three episodes of the show are not particularly stunning, worthy of single loop songs.
The third flaw is that the program still has a bug of rule logic, and the biggest bug is the setting of the guessing jury. According to the rules of the current program, the key to whether the masked singer unveils his face is actually in the hands of the guessing jury: each time the guessing jury provides a singer's name to let the audience vote, guess the singer's unveiling, guess or can not reach the same as the audience, the masked singer will be retained for the next issue to continue singing. This is why the audience now feels that the jury has traces of the script, especially in the case that they know who it is, and the guessing jury is also deliberately rubbing the big name with rhythm, which is too routine.
To be fair, it doesn't seem too harsh for a music show that has been broadcast for five seasons (plus "The Masked Singer" is actually six seasons). After all, in the current situation of liking the new and tired of the old, in the moment when innovation is extremely difficult, many understandings are a sentence that everyone will put on their lips. The only hope is that the show can produce two good songs, and the old fans can still remember the show.
