Jokic: I had the impression of the elder Sabonis from a very young age who didn't deliver on his full potential in the NBA

Live Bar March 5, 2019 The Nuggets beat the Pacers today and won four straight games. After the game Jokic was asked about the influence of Avidas Sabonis (Sambonis Jr.) on him.

"When I was very young, I knew there was this person. I think he's a little old when he got into the NBA, so I don't think he showed all his potential in the NBA. Jokic said.

Sabonis the Elder joined the NBA in 1995, 31 years old, played seven seasons with the Trail Blazers, helping teams reach the playoffs, including two in the Western Conference Finals. Sabonis Sr. averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per game in the NBA.
