February 11 (Overseas Network) -- February 8 marks the 71st anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army. According to the KCNA report on the 9th, the DPRK's supreme leader Kim Jong-un and his wife Lee Xue-joo watched the military day celebration performance of the Meritorious National Choir in the annex building of the Headquarters of the Workers' Party central committee on the 8th.
According to reports, a number of KPA generals, Vice Chairmen of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee Choe Yonghae, Lee So-yong, and other cadres of the PARTY Central Committee and the State Affairs Commission also watched the ceremony.
The performance kicked off with the orchestral music "Splendid Motherland", and presented the audience with wonderful programs such as male vocal re-singing and male chorus "Wishing comrades the Supreme Commander's Comrades Health", male solo and male chorus "Ode to Marshal Kim Il Sung", and a cappella chorus "The Motherland I Guard".
According to the report, at the request of Kim Jong-un, when the female vocal trio and male chorus "Our National Flag" conducted by jang Yong-sik, vice minister of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee and people's artist, were played again, the venue boiled over and the atmosphere of the performance entered a climax. South Korea's "Chosun Ilbo" said that "Our Flag" is Kim Jong-un's favorite song, and footage of the documentary broadcast by North Korea's CCTV the next day (9th) showed Kim Jong-un giving a thumbs up with satisfaction when listening to the song. Lord Li Xue, who was sitting on the sidelines, also stood up, smiling and clapping.
