Marg, after helping the first phase of designer Chen Dejian to renovate the home of community volunteer Zhang Xianlang, once again joined hands with the program team to upgrade the home of Captain Ge of Chongqing.
Ge Liejun, a captain of the Wanglongmen Waterway in Chongqing, is responsible for the maintenance and management of the 11 km of the Yangtze River trunk line and 1.2 km of the Jialing River estuary.
In 22 years of navigation work, the success rate of maintenance of navigation markers has reached 100%, and there are zero accidents in safe production, which is praised as "a navigation beacon light that never goes out on the Yangtze River waterway".
At the same time, Captain Ge has saved more than 200 people from the waterway accident for more than 20 years and is known as the "guardian spirit" on the Yangtze River waterway.
Captain Ge, who has devoted himself to the cause of the waterway for more than 20 years, has no time to spend time with his family because he often goes to sea. The Ge family of four lives together in a cramped space of 75 square meters, when the family members gather, the Ge family's son can only sleep in the bay window, for this reason, the "Secret Transformation" crew specially invited the well-known top designer Liu Linian as the main designer of the Ge family project!

First of all, let's take a look at the original living environment of the Ge family!
75㎡ two bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen and one bathroom; space is limited, functional partitions are unreasonable, such as balcony space is not fully utilized; children do not have comfortable rest and study space. The furniture is not environmentally friendly, and it has been plagued by the pungent smell of paint for many years, affecting the health of the family.
Faced with these problems, Teacher Liu first opened the space visually by breaking the boundaries of space and opening up the walls of the living room, kitchen, dining room and balcony. Secondly, the balcony is built into a viewing space, and the space is fully utilized by means such as designing tatami mats, and then the furniture of the whole house is customized and updated to increase the storage space. Finally, the soft decoration arrangement makes the living room more warm.

In the Gejia project of the Chongqing Station of the "Secret Renovation", Marg still provides free customization of the whole house cabinet, and also specially sends a design team led by Director Yang to dock, in order to upgrade the Gejia perfectly on time and efficiently.

In the program, three problems are more troublesome, one is that the utilization rate of balcony space is not high, the second is that the living space of children is insufficient, and the third is that the furniture is not environmentally friendly and the taste is pungent.

Teacher Liu originally wanted to remove the protruding wall of the irregular balcony to maximize the use of space, but then found that the demolition would produce safety hazards, so he temporarily modified the design, and designed the sofa in the narrowest part of the original as a cabinet, and the bottom of the original top cabinet was designed as a tatami sofa.
The temporary modifications put a lot of pressure on the custom production of our furniture, but we worked overtime and finally completed the task within 10 days. (Praise must be given to marg's design and production team here)

In order to make the functional partition more reasonable, Teacher Liu designed the original old people's room as the master bedroom, and added more invisible storage, and added a sofa bed to the original relatively large master bedroom to fully meet the living needs of each resident.
Because the original furniture is not environmentally friendly and affects health, Teacher Liu decided to completely replace the whole house furniture, and after in-depth inspection of the Marg Chongqing factory, he was very satisfied with the environmental protection of our Marg solid wood, F4 star, E0 and other plates, and decided to replace the whole house with our Marg products.
