2.12 Taronga Zoo
We returned to Sydney, the original plan was to stay an extra day to see the University of Sydney and Taronga Zoo, but, since Jetstar had been forcibly hung up at Launceston Airport for more than twenty hours yesterday, we had to reduce the trip and only go to the zoo.

Wolli Creek - Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo is just north of Sydney, next to Jackson Harbour, from the foot of a hill to the top of a hill where Captain Philip landed more than two hundred years ago.
From Woli Creek, take the metro to Civic Quay, then head to the pier to take a boat past, where you can see the famous Sydney Opera House and Sydney Bridge.

I remember that the zoo ticket included a one-way cable car ticket, so you first take the cable car up the mountain, go down from the top of the mountain, or play from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and then take the cable car down.
Map of the Taronga Zoo
Note that the zoo's guided tour map is up, south, north, left, east, right, and west, which is exactly the opposite of our general map orientation.
The zoo is roughly divided into two areas, east and west, the zoo is roughly divided into two areas, the local animals are mostly in the east of the ropeway line, and the west is some well-known animals from various continents.
Balancing the relationship between animal welfare and zoo profitability has always been a problem for commercial zoos, but Taronga Zoo's animal welfare is well done, such as giraffes, which provide two high-altitude feeding devices and one or two diverse toys, but the space is too cramped. The same is true of African elephants, two female elephants with small elephants, about a thousand square meters of outdoor activity space, for a behemoth weighing several tons, think about it, feel depressed.

There is a nocturnal animal hall in the southeast corner of the zoo that is well worth a visit. Blinded by black lights, the museum features a variety of nocturnal animals, including the famous Tasmanian devil (also known as the "Tasmanian Devil" due to its ugly appearance).

A little north of the Nocturnal Zoo, a place called Wildlife Retreat, exhibits small, flexible platypus, the world's only oviparous mammal, found only in Australia.

Of course, the most well-known is the koala, it is said that this product was very flexible when he was a child, and then ate eucalyptus leaves with hypnotic effects every day, eating more and more stupidly.
Asleep
My favorite thing to see is the Reptile World at the zoo, which is a collection of unknown reptiles that you know, and sometimes you have to lament that their evolutionary path has chosen so differently.
Seems like a green iguana?
Don't know what lizards are
Wolli Creek Real Estate Magnate told us that when you go to the zoo, you must see the animal show, because the animal show at Taronga Zoo is the best in Australia. But after we went to see a sea lion performance, we didn't want to watch it again, and it felt sad that the animals were asked to do all kinds of movements to win the applause of the audience.
Probably because we slept too little yesterday, we were already very tired by the afternoon, so we took a look at the little penguins in the aquarium and hurried back.
In the evening, the real estate magnate invited us to a big meal, and I can't remember where we ate it, but there were more than a dozen dishes of Western food. After eating, she urged us to hurry back to rest, and the trip to Australia was successfully concluded.
2.13 Sydney - Nanjing, some summaries
In the morning, the real estate giant rushed to the airport and dropped us off at the security gate. We took a flight from HNA to Haikou this time, and after boarding, the road was smooth. Later, based on the experience of this trip, I sorted out some precautions for going to Australia, and wrote them here for your reference.
traffic
Australia is a large country, between distant locations, generally use the plane as a means of transport, of course, you can also rent a car, from the beginning to the end, but that will take more time.
When you arrive at a certain place and need to visit nearby, as long as it is not a particularly large city, you will hardly encounter parking fees, violations and other issues, so you can rent a car. Even in large cities where public transportation is very developed, as long as you can guarantee that there is no violation, renting a car is still more cost-effective than taking public transportation, but if you violate the law, uh, then, you will be fined to death, one or two thousand Australian dollars are common, so whether to rent a car in a big city or not, you can decide according to the situation.
lodging
Australia's accommodation standards are relatively high, a low-end room is generally between 100-200 Australian dollars, however, you do not have to be afraid to choose a low-end hotel or homestay, because the infrastructure here is still good, and the low-end accommodation will not be very bad.
language
Simple English can cope, will be a few words also OK, please always remember, money, is the most common language in the world.
consume
Credit cards are available in most places even at very small sizes, and you only need to prepare a small amount of cash to give to an organizer like the grandpa of the SEAL tour we went to.
Various excursions, day trips
It's the tour I often mention in articles. I feel that in addition to your own inability to drive to (such as to see the Great Barrier Reef, you can not always rent a boat to drive over it), most of them can not participate, in general, large companies tour is more standardized, small companies or self-employed people are more cost-effective, and can experience the unique life of the locals, choose which can be based on their own situation. In addition, pay attention to the instructions of various tours, ask in advance what items to prepare, and remember to eat including meals!
on the road
Drive slowly, although you will be scolded by Maozi, but safety first. The most beautiful scenery is often not a famous attraction, but a small, inconspicuous place you find along the way.
guidebook
You can go to a variety of places to check the travel guides, including the official website version of the state government website. However, I personally recommend the Lonely Planet series, which will briefly introduce the local culture and almost all possible places to visit. Then, when your trip is over, you can also put the ticket and everything in the corresponding position on the book to make an index for future travel.
Finally, we summarize our trip with an ugly picture:
