The DPP went all out to block the "referendum," and the Taiwan media criticized it: Kidnapping the people with color

author:Straits Herald

In order to prevent the passage of the four major "referendums" at the end of the year, the DPP chaotically held a "referendum" briefing meeting in Taoyuan City on the 30th. Taoyuan Mayor Zheng Wencan threatened that the Datan power plant accounts for 6% of Taiwan's power generation, without this 6% of the northern power supply will be tight, cancel the "three connections" is to give Taiwan difficulties, let Taiwan have no electricity, is to use the name of algae reef to block the energy transition, which will make Taiwan kidnapped and idling. In contrast, Pan Zhongzheng, the leader of the "referendum" on cherishing the algae reef, and Zheng Wencan, who kidnapped the algae reef, were even more stubborn in the face of wrong policies, and also criticized the DPP for creating a blue-green duel to dilute the people's positive thinking about the "referendum" on the algae reef, which is to cover up its own mistakes.

The DPP went all out to block the "referendum," and the Taiwan media criticized it: Kidnapping the people with color

Pan Zhongzheng angrily criticized that the DPP authorities should have protected the oceans and algae reefs, but they would only say how much money they spent on this! Is it not the construction of the trestle and caisson used in the "three connections" project to destroy the algae reef? On April 22, Tsai Ing-wen was invited to investigate, and no one wanted to come, so why did she boast that she loved the treasures of her hometown?

Pan Zhongzheng also pointed out that Zheng Wencan had betrayed his faith, saying that when Zheng Wencan was just elected mayor, he promised to list the coast of Taoyuan Moo reef as a tentative natural reserve, and now he is silent. The "referendum" will not happen in a day or two, but the DPP authorities have neglected their duties and forced the people to embark on the "referendum" road. Zheng Wencan said that it was Zaojiao that kidnapped Taiwan, and he believed that Zheng Wencan kidnapped Zaojiao, and the wrong policy was even more stubborn.

Pan Zhongzheng also said that there are many options for energy transformation, but why should we move the precious algae reef. He once asked Taiwan's "CNPC" what to do if it passes the "referendum"? Unexpectedly, I only got a sentence of "there is no way to supply gas again", there was no record or solution, and I bitterly criticized the DPP authorities for being irresponsible and using the "right to re-decide" to make the DPP face its own faults.

As for Su Zhenchang, head of the administrative organ of the DPP authorities, who called on the KMT to use four "referendums" to mess with Taiwan, KMT Chairman Zhu Lilun also retorted; when the DPP was "in the opposition," he advocated a "referendum" for the whole people to call love for Taiwan, and now he also says that the proposals put forward by political parties and nongovernmental organizations are chaotic in Taiwan. The DPP is a one-party private interest, and any opinion must be opposed, and this is the only thing that harms Taiwan.

Taiwan's "Zhongshi News Network" commented that the four cases of anti-Lai pig, cherishing algae reefs, "referendum" tied to the "general election," and restarting the nuclear power plant are all essentially people's livelihood economy, and the first three are all the propositions of the DPP before "coming to power." Because of this, the polls currently revealed by all parties show that the proportion of people in favor of these three "referendums" is significantly higher than that of opponents.

The commentary said, however, the DPP authorities obviously have no intention of communicating and dialogue with the mainstream public opinion, but are one-size-fits-all, and the "referendum" is a vicious fighting tool for the KMT to operate the party and fight against differences. The implication is to summon the ideological ghost, to ask voters to ignore the intention of the "referendum" and to try to turn the situation around into a blue-green dispute. Such a "referendum" is no longer worthy of being called a demonstration of the people's direct will.

Commentators believe that under the catalysis of political forces, it is difficult to predict where the four major "referendum" cases will go. Perhaps, under the pressure of the Green Camp army, there will really be more and more voters who put values aside and colors in the middle; but can this "referendum" result, which is called by the spiral of opposites, really resolve the omission of decision-making?

The commentary stressed that if the "politicians" really want to make the Taiwanese people live a good life, they should put down their ideological hands and stop kidnapping the people with color, only in this way can they get out of the "ruling" dilemma. (Lin Jingxian/Editor)
