When everyone says no, their arrogance disappears.
Sneaky photography, sexual harassment, and "salty pig hands" in public transportation places occur from time to time. According to media investigations, some malicious violations of women have a dark chain of interests behind them.
These groups that abuse women in crowded carriages are known as the "top people," a rather obscene nickname, and their behavior is truly embarrassing. There are also those who hide behind the scenes, and they post videos of "top people" violating women online, on some special forums, which can be sold for high prices. Some unscrupulous merchants have made huge profits from it, and a forum operation customer service claims that there are about 5,000 people who open paid memberships.
Molesting, harassing, and videotaping women in public spaces is not only a very dirty act, but also has touched the bottom line of the law. According to the relevant contents of the Civil Code, if another person is sexually harassed against his will, the victim has the right to request the perpetrator to bear civil liability in accordance with law. The Public Security Administration Punishment Law also clearly stipulates that those who molest others can be sentenced to 5 to 10 days of public security detention, and those who are serious in nature will even be investigated for criminal responsibility. The posting and sale of pornographic information online will also be severely punished by the law.
However, there are still some people who are desperate to take risks in a vain attempt to make improper profits from it. Some people are "salty pig hands" in order to satisfy their obscene desires; others sell videos through the Internet, thus making huge profits. They are all ignoring the law, and even if they can succeed for a while, it will be difficult to escape moral condemnation and legal responsibility in the end. In public, women are caught secretly photographing, some are committed alone, some are group crimes, and there is a terrible secret filming industry chain behind them. In the face of these situations, the public security department will generally follow the vine, not only to hold the lewds responsible, but also to pull out the hidden team behind them.
The majority of female compatriots themselves need to strengthen their vigilance against "salty pig hands" and even "top tribes". When you are violated by criminals on the subway or bus, swallowing your breath is not the solution. Under the premise of ensuring their personal safety (such as the perpetrator did not carry the murder weapon and there were many passengers in the carriage), you must refuse the illegal act on the spot, and if necessary, seek help from the police. Looking at the cases of molestors and sneaky photographers arrested by the police in recent years, most of them are the result of the victims' initiative to defend their rights. Only when more and more women dare and are good at using the weapon of law to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests can they better deter these obscene "top people".
At the same time, public security administration departments and public transport operators should also actively fulfill their relevant responsibilities to protect women's rights and interests. CCTV has reported that in response to the frequent appearance of wolves in the subway, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau's Public Transport Safety Protection Corps launched a "wolf hunting" operation, covering all lines of the Beijing subway, and since the summer of 2017, a total of more than 400 indecent lawbreakers have been administratively detained. Such actions may be actively carried out in major cities to give a strong deterrent and active crackdown on illegal acts.
When everyone firmly says no to the "top people", their arrogance will naturally disappear.
