"Wall Head Horse" is one of the most outstanding representative plays of Bai Pu, one of the four masters of yuan miscellaneous songs, and it is called the "four love dramas of the Yuan Dynasty" together with Guan Hanqing's "Baiyue Pavilion", Wang Shifu's "West Chamber", and Zheng Guangzu's "Qiannu Leaving the Soul".
"Wall Head Horse" takes the story in Bai Juyi's poem "Silver Bottle at the Bottom of the Well" as the basic material, combined with the characteristics of the times, and describes the love story of Li Qianjin and Pei Shaojun. This drama celebrates the freedom of love and the rebellion against feudal etiquette, has outstanding ideological and superb artistic level, and occupies an important position in the history of Chinese literature.
Yuan miscellaneous opera is a traditional opera form sung by the Yuan Dynasty with Beiqu Opera, formed in the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty flourished for a time, from the court to the common people's society, watching theatrical performances became an entertainment habit. Its content is mainly to expose the darkness of society and reflect the suffering of the people, the combination of realism and romanticism, the main line is clear, the characters are distinct, and it has achieved a literary status that is called together with Tang poetry and Song Ci. After the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the singing of Yuan miscellaneous opera gradually disappeared.
Zhengding was the first city south of the Yuan capital in the Yuan Dynasty, and the Yuan Dynasty poet Chen Fu praised it as: "A city of thousands of miles of mulberry and linen, and the lights and orchestras of thousands of homes are clear." Zhengding, one of the founding centers of Yuanqu and an important creative and performance center in the early days of Yuanqu opera. At that time, in Zhengding, a group of yuanqu writers represented by Bai Pu was active, "Bai Pu, Shi Tianze, Li Wenwei, Shang Zhongxian, Dai Shanfu, Hou Kezhong, Wang Zemin, Shi Zhang, and others of Zhending were all 'people with obvious reputations'" They not only wrote a splendid chapter for the development of Yuanqu art, but also created the peak of Chinese literature and art.

This time, the Propaganda Department of the Zhengding County Party Committee cooperated with the Shijiazhuang Municipal Commentary Theater to adapt Bai Pu's masterpiece and create a commentary version of "Wall Head Immediately". The play is directed by Yuan Shumei, winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award and a famous performing artist. It took more than two months to create a rehearsal and will be performed for the first time on December 11.
