"Qin Lishan" (1877-1906) was the commander of the Self-Reliant Army

[Qin Lishan] (1877-1906) Commander of the Self-Reliant Army. The original name was Ding Yi, the word LiShan. Be kind to people.

In 1897, he entered the Changsha Shiwu School and joined the Southern Society the following year. After the coup d'état, he went into exile in Japan and served as the chief writer of the > of the < Qingyi Newspaper. From 1900 to Wuhan and Tang Caichang organized a self-reliant army, serving as the commander of the former army. After the defeat, he went into exile in Japan again. In 1901, he founded the < National Newspaper >, which was the first newspaper in The Japanese academic circles to publicize the revolution. In 1902, he and Zhang Taiyan and others launched the commemoration of the fall of China. In the same year, he also founded the New Society in Shanghai, which < the monthly magazine of the Mainland >, and tried its best to refute Kang Liang's royalist remarks. In 1905, he entered Yunnan to engage in anti-Qing activities, became ill from overwork, and died the following year.
