From October 26th to 29th, the final of the 2021 Guangdong Provincial Mass Art Flower Festival (Drama and Music Art), hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and the People's Government of Meizhou Municipality, and hosted by meizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television Tourism and Guangdong Provincial Culture Center, was held in Meizhou City.
Guangdong Provincial Mass Art Flower Fair is the most representative exemplary, oriented and institutionalized mass cultural activity brand in the province led by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and built over the years, with great popularity and influence nationwide. The flower fair is held once a year, which is divided into three categories: the Guangdong Provincial Mass Music and Dance Flower Festival, the Guangdong Provincial Mass Drama And Music Art Flower Festival, and the Guangdong Provincial Children's Art Flower Festival, which are held in a three-year rotation and are welcomed and loved by the urban and rural masses throughout the province.
This year's flower fair brought together the outstanding works selected by the province, including small plays, sketches, Cantonese opera, allegro, mountain songs and other forms, and a total of 76 drama and music representative teams from 21 prefectures and cities in the province and relevant provincial departments participated in the performance competition. Among them, the two works selected by Shaoguan City, the tea picking drama "Wisdom Sending Intelligence" and the mountain song Allegro performance and singing "December Red Army", stood out among many participating works, and won the silver medal in the drama category and the bronze medal in the music art category respectively.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Shaoguan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, in recent years, the Shaoguan Municipal Cultural Center, under the guidance of the higher-level departments, has adhered to the people-centered creative concept, continuously guided the city's mass literary and artistic workers to create excellent original works of drama and music, built platforms such as the Shaoguan Drama and Flower Festival, and the selection of mass literary and artistic works, and strived to do a good job in the inheritance and promotion of local opera. In the next step, the Shaoguan Municipal Cultural Center will continue to build a good platform for the creation and display of drama and music, excavate more mass drama and art works with local characteristics, and strive to promote the creation and arrangement of local mass drama and music to a new level.
