1 Cha Bum-kun (born May 22, 1953 in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea) scored 58 goals in 136 appearances for the Korean team between 1972 and 1986. On 10 May 1972, he scored his debut goal in the Asian Cup against Cambodia 4–1. The last goal for the national team was scored in a 1–0 victory over China at the Asian Games on 17 December 1978. He competed in the 1986 World Cup and also participated in the 1972 Asian Cup, where he finished runners-up.
2 Hwang Sun-hong (born 14 July 1968 in Reesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea), made 103 appearances for The Republic of Korea between 1988 and 2002, scoring 50 goals. On December 6, 1988, he scored his debut goal for the national team in the Asian Cup 2–0 win over Japan. His last goal for the national team was in a 2–0 World Cup win over Poland on 4 June 2002. He competed in four World Cups in 1990, 1994, 1998 and 2002 (fourth place). He participated in the 1988 (runner-up) and 1996 Asian Cups. 3 Park Lee-chun was born in South Korea on July 26, 1947. He made 89 appearances for The Korean team between 1969 and 1974, scoring 36 goals. He participated in the 1972 Asian Cup and won the second place.
4 Kim Jae-han was born on April 1, 1947 in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. He made 57 appearances for The Republic of Korea between 1972 and 1979, scoring 33 goals.
Lee Dong-gook was born on April 28, 1979 in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. He made 104 appearances for The Republic of Korea between 1998 and 2017, scoring 33 goals. On 17 February 2000, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 2–2 draw with Costa Rica in the Gold Cup between Central and North America and the Caribbean. His last goal for the national team was in a 3–1 defeat to Costa Rica on 14 October 2014. He participated in the 1998 and 2010 World Cups. 6 Choi Soon-ho (born January 10, 1962 in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, made 103 appearances for The Republic of Korea between 1980 and 1991, scoring 30 goals. On August 25, 1980, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 3–0 win over Indonesia in the Korea Cup Invitational Tournament. On 27 May 1989, he scored the last goal of the national team in a 3–0 win over Malaysia in the Asian Qualifiers of the World Cup. He participated in the 1986 and 1990 World Cups, participated in the 1980 Asian Cup, and won the runner-up.
7 Kim Do-hoon was born on July 21, 1970 in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. Between 1994 and 2003, he made 72 appearances for the Korean team, scoring 29 goals. On 13 September 1994, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 2–0 win over Ukraine in a friendly match. His last goal for the national team was scored in a 3–1 win over Hong Kong on 4 December 2003 in the East Asian Cup. He participated in the 1998 World Cup, the 1996 Asian Cup, and the 2002 Gold Cup in North America and the Caribbean, where he finished fourth.
Born on January 13, 1955 in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, Huh Jung-moo made 84 appearances for The Republic of Korea between 1974 and 1986, scoring 29 goals. On 20 December 1974, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 3–1 victory over Thailand in the Thai King's Cup. His last goal for the national team was in a 2–3 defeat to Italy in the group stage of the World Cup on 10 June 1986. He participated in the 1984 Asian Cup and the 1986 World Cup.
Son Heung-min was born on July 8, 1992 in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, South Korea. Since 2010, he has made 94 appearances for the Korean team, scoring 29 goals. On 18 January 2011, he scored his debut goal for the national team in the Asian Cup 4–1 win over India. He has competed in two World Cups, 2014 and 2018, and three Asian Cups in 2011 (third place), 2015 (runner-up) and 2019.
10 Choi Yong-soo was born on September 10, 1973 in Busan, South Korea. Between 1995 and 2003, he made 67 appearances for the Korean team, scoring 27 goals. On 31 March 1995, he scored his debut goal in the Carlsberg Cup 1–0 win over Colombia. His last goal for the national team was in a 1–1 draw against Croatia on 13 November 2001. He competed in two World Cups in 1998 and 2002 (fourth place) and did not participate in the Asian Cup.
Lee Tae-ho was born on January 29, 1961 in Daejeon, South Korea. Between 1980 and 1991, he made 72 appearances for the Korean team, scoring 27 goals. On 27 August 1980, he scored his debut goal for the national team in a 4–0 victory over Thailand in the Presidents' Cup in South Korea. His last goal for the national team was scored in a 4–0 win over Nepal in the Asian qualifiers of the Fifa World Cup on 3 June 1989. He participated in the 1986 and 1990 World Cups, and participated in the 1980 (runner-up), 1984 and 1988 (runner-up) Asian Cups.
Kim Jin-kook was born in South Korea on May 14, 1951. He made 94 appearances for The Korean team between 1972 and 1978, scoring 27 goals. He finished runners-up at the 1972 Asian Cup.
