Alvaro Morata found that he and his family – including his children – were already at risk of death because of his exhibition for Spain at Euro 2020.
The Juventus striker had already fought before scoring for Spain and despite beating Slovakia 5-0, Morata saw his punishment when he hadn't scored yet in the match.
In addition, he clarified the reasons for not being able to rest after a draw with Poland, where he scored but also missed out on all sorts of great possibilities.
During the pre-match match against Portugal, parts of the Spanish fans chanted "Morata, how bad are you".
In addition, Morata currently says his significant other and three children have been affected by mishandling.
Morata told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope: "Maybe I didn't handle my work the way I should.
"I understand that I'm being blamed for not meeting my goals, but I want people to put themselves in danger of being told your kids should pass."
"Every time I arrive at the dressing area, my phone goes to somewhere else. What bothered me was that they told me about the other half, the kids they told me — they walked through Seville with their father's name written on their shirts. They reveal everything to them.
"I need to take care of my phone this week.
"Due to the rush of adrenaline, I didn't have a break at all the other day.
"I didn't take nine hours off after the (Polish) match – I understand the analysis of no points and I admit that. I want individuals to put themselves in a situation where your family is in danger of dying.
"I was particularly happy, but I was annoyed that I couldn't manage my job competently. The fans whistled at me before heating up, but I was happy to accept the penalty (against Slovakia) and missed it. ”
The former Chelsea striker has previously battled his emotional health at Stamford Bridge but he asked to be in a superior position to analyse behind him as Spain moved into the knockout stages.
Spain will face Croatia in Monday's round of 16, with Morata adding: "I'm fine, maybe a few years ago I would have been in a bad situation. I haven't been exposed to anything in a long time. I was really happy and inspired to be in the round of 16.
"We had conversations as we prepared how football could change, in the last European Championship we started better and we showed up in the round of 16 in a different way. That's football and I'm happy that no one who doesn't really accept it will not have known me. ”
