The Chinese nation has reached the most dangerous moment - to be a slave to the subjugation of the country, or to fight with your life?

In the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall, a pistol quietly displayed was the most powerful answer at that time.

This gun is a national first-class cultural relic, made in the United States, horse plate, 20.5 cm long, weighing 1.2 kg, gun number 80292. The owner of this pistol is Zhao Shangzhi, one of the founders and leaders of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League, and Yang Jingyu is called "Southern Yang Northern Zhao".

Born in 1908 in Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province, Zhao Shangzhi entered Harbin Xugong Middle School in 1925 and joined the Communist Party of China in the same year.

White mountains and black water, Shuo wind cut faces. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Northeast Anti-Japanese League, a unit in China's history that resisted foreign insults and was most tragic, waged a 14-year-long and arduous struggle.

They must not only fight to the death and break through the layers of encirclement and suppression of the Japanese puppet army, but also face the harsh living conditions that challenge the limits of mankind, and continue the national flame in the extreme cold and freezing, lack of clothing and food, and ammunition cut off.

After the September 18 Incident, Zhao Shangzhi threw himself into the anti-Japanese struggle, successively serving as the secretary of the Military Committee of the Manchurian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the leader of the Zhuhe Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Group, the commander of the Third Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army, and other famous battles such as the attack on Wuchang Fort, Bin County, and the Ambush Of Bingtuzi. Rikou was frightened by him, and helplessly lamented "small Manchukuo, big Zhao Shangzhi", offered a reward of ten thousand yuan, and shouted "one or two meats and one silver, one or two bones and one or two gold".

Rikou made a vicious trap plan for Zhao Shangzhi, discovering that he was active in Luobei, Heli, and Yubara, so that the secret agent Liu Deshan, in the name of collecting mountain goods, searched for the anti-league and infiltrated the interior.

February 12, 1942, in the early hours of the morning. Zhao Shangzhi, who had planned to attack the pseudo-police station and the garrison of the Wutong River Gold Mine, was shot in the abdomen by Liu Deshan's black gun in the back. He endured severe pain and turned around and fired two shots in a row with his pistol, killing Liu Deshan on the spot. Wounded and unable to carry out his duties, he handed the document package to his comrades and ordered him to retreat.

According to the records of the enemy and pseudo-puppets, after being seriously injured and captured in a coma, Zhao Shangzhi still fought unyieldingly. In the face of the interrogation of the Japanese puppet army, he angrily rebuked, "Aren't you also Chinese?" Are you still ashamed of betraying your motherland? "I died alone, and that's nothing. I'm going to die, what else is there to ask? ”

Eight hours after the injury, the hero ran out of blood. The brutal enemy cut off his head and threw his body into the Songhua River Ice Cave.

In the brutal struggle, most of the founders and main leaders of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Resistance League were killed in battle, and more than 30 commanders at and above the army level alone, accounting for more than half, were trapped in heavy sieges and fought to the point of being alone and heroically sacrificed, and some were wounded and captured and beheaded with their tongues cut off, but they were still unyielding.

In 1948, the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall was built, and the local public security personnel found the pistol used by General Zhao Shangzhi before his death and handed it over, which became the treasure of the town hall.

In honor of the hero, Xincheng Street in Harbin was renamed Shangzhi Street, Zhuhe County, where he fought, was renamed Shangzhi County, and the village where he died was renamed Shangzhi Village.

The general's blood recommended Xuanyuan, and it has been nearly eighty years in the blink of an eye. Li Min, a veteran soldier of the Anti-Japanese Coalition, was interviewed by a Xinhua reporter several times before his death, and every time he talked about his deceased comrades-in-arms, he burst into tears: "We ran out of ammunition and were besieged by the Japanese puppet army for three days and three nights, and several comrades who had just broken through could not help but lie in the swamp and drink muddy water, and as a result, they were killed by the pursuing enemy without taking a few sips. Bark and grass roots have also become 'luxuries' in the most lonely and cruel periods; because of the lack of bullets, every bullet and supply must be captured from the hands of the enemy, and several different guns must be carried at the same time when fighting; in order to prevent exposure, many soldiers in the secret camp can not make fire, and many soldiers have frozen their hands and feet..."

However, these famous and nameless heroes have never retreated, and have gone forward and succeeded in the black land, leaving behind layers of blood-soaked colors, engraving the oath of "the Anti-Japanese Alliance has since passed, and the descendants will continue to head", standing up the backbone of the Chinese nation.

"Looking back at history, we can unite the strength of the great rejuvenation of the nation." In the explanation of the docent of the Northeast Martyrs Memorial Hall, people either bowed their heads and saluted, or concentrated on thinking.
