Yoshimura and Ram

【Editor's Note】 In the final year of winning the battle against poverty, journalist Tang Dashan came to the village of Zhubalong Township in eastern Tibet on the banks of the Jinsha River. As a lover of literature, he has seen, heard, and felt, and "Observations on the Mountains in the Village" will show you a picture of the development and change of the Kham land, describing the spirit of the people living in this land.

In this area, there are countless men named Yoshimura, and women named Ram abound. On this hillside from the Jinsha River Bridge to Zilingong Village, if you ask where Ji Cun and Ram live, someone will point to two dark red houses on the mountainside and tell you that the one on the north side is.

I met Yoshimura and Ram on their way up the mountain. I heard the clanging sound from above the side in the distance, and when I walked to the front, I saw clearly that it was a husband and wife cooperation project. The couple lived not far below, Yoshimura and Ram.

Ram squatted on the cement floor, clutching the steel braze in both hands. Yoshimura picked up his hammer and smashed it rhythmically against the steel braze. As the steel braze trembled, the broken cement that had been pried up flew towards the side of the road. Not far away, next to the tricycle, a little girl walked around carrying a doll.

Between labors, we talked.

Dashan: "Looks like you're going to chisel out a groove and bury what?" ”

Yoshimura: "Buried rubber water pipes." We don't have enough water. ”

Ram: "Enough water for domestic use. Pouring corn and potatoes is not enough. Here the mountains are moist and the mountains are dry, and this has been the case for several lifetimes. ”

Dashan: "This is the case on both sides of the Jinsha River, which is called the dry and hot climate of the alpine canyon." Water vapor runs up, and trees grow on top of the mountain. Below are two families, and the mountain is a village, to discuss to bring some water. ”

Yoshimura: "We are a township with Yamayama, not a village. I belong to Zhubalong Village, and above it is Zilingong Village, all of which belong to Zhubalong Township, Sichuan. They went to Batang, passed by my door, and they all knew each other. The day before yesterday, I met Yixi Tashi, the secretary of the Zilingong Village Branch, at the door, and when he said it, he agreed. Others are very good, saying that pulling a pipe, casual use. ”

Dashan: "The big baby is carrying the little baby, and it's both your two babies." Little girl, playing here, we talk. What is your name? Oh, Tashi Yongxi, a very memorable name. ”

Ram: "She is in the fourth grade of Zhubalong Township Primary School. ”

Dashan: "I lived in the township government the other day, followed by your school." Have you seen me? ”

Ram: "She went to school in Zhuba Cage in Sichuan. You're talking about the Tibetan Juba Dragon. The village council is the new house at the head of the bridge, right? ”

Dashan: "When you talk about these two place names to each other, you never add Sichuan or Tibet in front of them, and both sides know which side they are referring to." ”

Yoshimura: "I heard the old man say that we were originally a large village, but now we belong to two provinces, and there are relatives on both sides." ”

Oyama: "Two children?" ”

Ram: "Tashi Yongxi has an older sister who is in the seventh grade in Batang. The Dragon Boat Festival school is closed, read a book below. ”

Dashan: "Looking at Tashi Yongxi's appearance, she and her sister have good grades." ”

Yoshimura: "Yes. I told the two children who went to school that depending on the situation, as long as they studied hard, they could be admitted to college. Society is developing so fast that people like me are illiterate. Only to the second grade of elementary school, after so many years, I have long forgotten it. Stayed here before and rarely saw people outside and didn't feel it. Now go to Batang to do something, I know how difficult it is not to recognize words. ”

Ram: "With policies related to us, the township cadres have to explain them sentence by sentence. In fact, it is all on a piece of paper, if you can read, you can understand it at a glance. Now it is much better, the words issued in the township, the two children who go to school can explain it. ”

In order not to affect their work, I waved goodbye.

Ram's voice came from behind: "When the grapes are ripe, I will go to the new house on the other side of the river to sell grapes." My grapes are not medicated and are very sweet. ”

I promised to wait for her in the new house.

The water pipe was torn down the mountain, her family's vine could drink a full drink, and the dream of the future was soon realized. (China Tibet Network Correspondent/Tang Dashan)
