In the European Alps, there is a surprising mountain called the Dolomites!
Since the first time I photographed the Dolomites in 2017, I have been fascinated since then, the peaks here are strange and handsome, the architecture here is perfectly integrated with nature, the grasslands are unique at high altitudes, the mountains are magnificent, the peaks are full of strange peaks, the posture is unique and charming, and the mountains embrace many charming villages.
Before going to Italy, I photographed in the northwest, Xinjiang, Tibet and other places, very amazed by the artistic beauty of nature, but never wanted to live in the local area, whether it is the back garden of the gods Kanas or the beautiful mountain village Hemu in autumn, or the stone city of Zagana, there is no impulse to let me stay, only the impulse to let me shoot. Until, I met the Dolomites, the first time was in 2017, that solo photography trip changed my view of nature, I had the first time I wanted to own such a wooden house, I lived here, this is my Italian Dolomites photography tour, for me, it is easy to fall in love with a shooting location, but I have the idea of wanting to get rooted here.
The work was taken on the third Italian photography trip in 2018, when we took a lot of old friends to shoot, and it was in this place that we were pleasantly surprised. Now, I'm going to give you some overviews to get to know these amazing regions.
It is the largest alpine meadow in Europe, located on the Dolomites Plateau in the Tyrol region of southern Italy, geographically located in the western part of the Dolomites Peninsula, between 1680 and 2350 meters above sea level, north to the Val gardena, to the northeast by the Sasolengo Archipelago, and to the southeast by the Sciliar Mountains, whose clear outline is one of the most famous symbols of all the Dolomites.
The biggest feature here is the combination of crisscrossing grasslands and mountains, which is very suitable for photographers to create, hiking is the best way to shoot, even if it is cloudy, you can meet the magical scene in the morning and night.
Passurol Mountain, the height of 1989 meters, the famous photography classic picture, the reflection of the handsome mountain in the water, this is one of the most upright peaks in the mountain, there is a café at the foot of the mountain for hikers to rest; standing in front of the mountain, the biggest feature is as if the ground rises, and the distance between people and the mountain is so close, from the visual feeling, it is very shocking, here need some luck, when the weather is good, you can see the red picture of the mountain of the dolomite after being illuminated by the sun.
The clouds on the unknown peaks, on the day when the heavy rain ends, waiting for the sky to clear is the cloud opening and the fog dissipates.

Built in a picturesque location on a meadow, backdrop to the majestic mountain peaks of Geisler, the Baroque chapel is one of the most photographed buildings in the entire South Tyrol region and one of the most photographed locations for Influencers, many people will ask where this chapel is as soon as they arrive in Funes.
When I was leading the team here, the sunset and the moon rise at the same time, and without any synthesis, I could shoot this picture in one image.
Funes – the best church combined with nature
The church is located under the peak of The Geisler Mountain, surrounded by a solid landscape, which is beautiful and full of creative interests. Built in 1394 from rocks collected from the mountains, the church is a perfect blend of history and nature.
Here, regardless of the shade, you can keep your creative excitement, in the process of light and shadow change, the light and shadow of the mountain peaks loom, and at sunset, being illuminated by soft warm light is a completely different beauty.

Considered one of the most beautiful lakes in many alps, emerald lake in the valley is known for its wonderful colors and is a jewel of Dolomiti, nestled between the ancient Great Fir Forest and The Latemar Mountains, a gathering place of legend and beauty, with emerald waters against the sky and mountains. During the day when the sun is shining, the lake appears turquoise, making subtle differences with the light, and at sunset, the tip of the dolomite is illuminated red.
Around August 2018, on the guardrail by the lake, it has been clearly marked that it is forbidden to climb over the guardrail to the lake, this photo was taken in July, and sometimes it is still necessary to shoot early or late.
On cloudy days, the fog over the grassland, shooting with long exposures, will be very magical.

This is the Dolomites, the place I've been to three times, and this is where I dream of having a wooden house, not for dreams, just for freedom.
La Valledo Three Peaks Mountain
The Three Peaks of Lavaredo are one of the most famous Dolomites in the Dolomites, and they are considered one of the most famous natural wonders in the mountaineering world, with plenty of outdoor rock climbing to climb here.
If you decide to take a closer look at the most spectacular peaks at the top of the Dolomites, then you should definitely come here and start shooting from here, the high altitude landscape, in some places, a very peaceful and extraordinary experience, unparalleled!
Shooting here requires a certain amount of physical strength, and shooting is never an easy task.
Standing at the bottom of the mountain, I formed a strong contrast with the nearby water, followed by another angle of the three peaks of Lavaledo!
Geisler Mountain
Standing at the top of the mountain range, you can enjoy the beauty of the Dolomites and all the mountains of South Tyrol, where the mountains, grasslands, everything is worth exploring slowly to shoot.
The most amazing thing about this place is that the same mountain is covered with green grass on one side and no grass on the other.
Near Geisler Peak, there are also many old wooden houses, which are integrated with nature, and you can explore according to your physical strength.
Lake Briies - Mirror Lake
Lake Briies is a natural lake that attracts hikers, cyclists and climbers and is a fascinating landscape. Next to it is also a chapel built in 1904, making it one of the most popular destinations. Whenever the sun rises and sets, the chances of calm appearing on the lake here are very high, and you will see the perfect mirror world.
During the day, you can also experience the fun of boating for yourself, which is very pleasant.
Lake Missourina
Lake Missourina is a very comfortable lake for shooting, where you can both rest and shoot, as well as take a leisurely walk around the lake. The weather here is great, almost every day is sunny, when there are clouds, then the luck is not too bad.
Dolomites are red by the sun at sunset, and even if nothing is done, it is a beauty to admire by the lake.
