"Superman is back" Chief Producer (CP) Kang Bong-gyu revealed Gary and his son's performance!
On Jan. 7, it was announced that Gary would appear with his 26-month-old son on the wildly popular KBS family show "Superman Is Back," a long-awaited return to the TV show. Fathers take care of children in the absence of their wives.
In a call with news outlet OSEN, Kang said: "I think Gary hasn't been on TV for three years. It's been a while since the invitation was made, but he's been upset and finally gladly agreed to star on the show together at a good opportunity."
In April 2017, Gary was married to a non-entertainer, and in November of the same year Gary announced that he had become a father and had a son. After leaving the variety show "Running Man" at the end of 2016, he mainly took on the roles of husband and father, largely out of the industry.
Jiang Fenggui CP said: "The foreign-related process is not easy. No, it's always difficult to negotiate. Because there is a need to disclose the children and the house, I am very careful", "Gary also considered it, and finally agreed to do a good opportunity to do the show together."
Kang Bong-gyu said, "Very curious to do the dad part of hip hop." And because I haven't greeted the audience for a long time, I'm a little curious about that part," "The one I want to know most is Gary's son." I readily agreed, so I filmed."
Then, Jiang CP said, "There may be a preconceived notion that hip-hop and dad's image don't match well, and I'm curious about how to match it, and I've finished my first shooting." The air date has not yet been determined.
In addition, KBS2 "Superman Is Back" airs every Sunday at 9:15 p.m.
